Hey Everyone I have been reading posts from this list for about 4 months both good and bad. I’m not different from the typical… I got a scammer at first but I never sent her any money….I have used several sites to write to woman. Mostly after writing 3-4 letters to a woman and that was about all it took me, to figure out that is was time to move on. I met a woman on Fiance.com in July of 2005 and we had an instant connection. We wrote each other and talked on the phone every day for 2 months and used yahoo messenger while I was at work! So after 6 weeks we thought we should meet. I just got back from London that’s where we decided to meet. I know what your thinking how was she able to travel to London.....well she doesn’t live in the FSU and has a different passport in the EU! Lucky me :) Anyway… She paid for her own ticket..met me at the airport and she took my breath away when I first saw her! We had a great time together... I paid for all hotels meal etc... Which I would have done if I went to the FSU or were she currently lives so that was no big deal, except we were both on neutral territory so it was a sink or swim situation for both of us! Really it was love at first site for both of us. We both already had feelings for each other… but the personal meeting just confirmed everything. She is making arrangements to come visit me in the states in Nov for 3 months..guess what no K1 visa as I said she has duel citizenship and she can come with and stay with me with out the BS paper work on my end. This woman is beautiful, intelligent, has her own money, no children and loves me! What more can a man ask for! Her English is a 10. I know many men are looking for a soul mate and I can tell you I have found mine, And I know for a fact that we will be married with in a year! So yes fairy tales do come true! So if I have learned anything from my pursuit for a Russian woman is that I was very lucky and dont give up your search..because this woman is truly remarkable. Bill

Bill, Good for you! But I'm curious about a few things. I have only been on this site for a week. I have received 29 “ I’m interested in you” letters. A lot from knock out women. Most in their 30’s. I am 52. What is the age difference between you and you new friend? A couple have asked for money to complete school. Go figure!!!! Some of them have been very direct wanting to meet very soon not wanting to email a lot. One is very persistent and wants to know everything about me. She said she had “great interest”. Who did it go for you? Why do these ladies not have men in their country? Or do they? I plan to ask these and a lot more questions of these ladies but I just wanted an American man’s take on it. I have read a lot of the forum. But it has my head spinning.

Knight, here it is in a nutshell.Yes they have men, but the good one's are taken. In Ukraine there are more women than men. Alcohol takes a toll on the men physically and they die younger, it is far more rampant in the FSU than the states. These girls are looking for love and yes financial stability in their lives, that is why you will get letters from girls in their 30's. I'm not big on a wide age difference. My fiance is 44, she doesn't look it, and we have many similar life experiences we share. Also, remember when they say with great interest, English is not their language but ours. My favorites of Larisa's was financially stable and mutual respect. Translated into English, have a job and treat me decent. The men in Ukraine as Larisa has told me many times, fidelity is not one of their better traits. Also compounded with the problem of alcohol. I mean, with all the beautiful women in Ukraine, the men can pretty much get away with anything on their women. So if she dumps him, there's another knockout around the corner. You will know when it is the right one. When they fall truly in love with you it is the most incredible experience I've ever had in my life. They will go to hell and back for you if they truly love you. There not perfect by any means, but compared to their sisters in the states, it is so totally different. When they disagree with you, you don't get smartassed back talk, at least with larissa, she is respectful but she will stand her ground. She is also not afraid to speak up and it is done in a very good but strong manner. I adore and love Larissa for many reason's, she is strong, beautiful and extremely intelligent. Very serious and passionate about life, but she also has a little girls heart. After 47 years I have received the greatest Gift from God, and that is truly the love of a wonderful and beautiful woman like Larissa.

knight I echo what Nas says. I tried to find an older woman but it didn't work for me. I ended up with the greatest catch a man could find. 35, tall, gray eyes, skin of an angel, beautiful hair, knows the value of money, has the most adorable little boy and she is crazy about me. The parents like me and everything is on track. They are definitely out there and like I said before everything Nas has written is absolutely 100% true. He has not exagerated. The alcoholism, and the dedication are at the core of this. Yes there are bitches here, I had the worst date with one of them and could smell it off a 29 year old I dated twice. Dumped her ass pronto. However your chances of success go sky high if you are sensible. I don't recommend doing the 25 year age gap thing, it is quite, quite possible but I don't think it is a good idea unless you have dough. Another thing, don't rush the sex part of any of this. There is plenty of time for that and for me I don't want to give the wrong impresion. Anyway when they are ready they will let you know. So jump in the water is fine !!! Smiles from Izi in Kherson.

Knight I am 43 and she is 37. I didnt want to go the 10-20 year difference root..Although it would have ben good for my ego...I wanted somone close to my age. My 2 cents look for a woman from 39 and up....these are the most beautiful woman and like the post said.. When they love you hold on with both hands and you will never regret it! Bill

I've found the same as Nas, Izi, and William. I'm 47 and my girl is 9 years younger than me. We have known each other for almost 2 years now....had a few ups and downs while we were learning each other, and some personal problems to settle before we decided to become engaged. Now our problems are settled and we are proceeding with the K1. It is true that when these women love you they do it totally and completely. It is unlike anything you will experience in the US. They also seem to be rather strong willed. My girl is no push over, and she will tell me exactly what she likes and dilikes. As Nas says...they will stand there ground. A product of their difficult lfe in FSU I am sure.

I am 49 and she is 39; our match works great; I had no interest in ladies younger but have no problem with other men and the ages of their choice. I also tried match.com but found to many problems with scams and such. My lady is also very strong willed and I like it; I like a little "spine" to supoort all that beauty.

Izi I was waiting for the age thingy !!! I was to polite to ask after ALL our discussions prior to you leaving. 35 is excellent. That is the exact "cut off" age I think chaps like you and I should look at and above. Well done me "Old China" My 38 year Lena old is on here way !!!!!!!!!!!!! Organizing tickets is the next step. I am over the moon - all stress released (well almost all released) The old saying – “you get back what you put it” is so true. The chaps that have succeed in the FSU search have put in a huge amount of effort – research and study. Study on themselves also is very important. I have seen people change their attitudes on here and then redirect themselves and them start seeing things for the better and with a more positive and rewarded pending outcome.

Thanx Bob. Did you read that I have to pay a $5000 Bond to NZIS. Will be refunded when Lena obtains Residence Status. They are tuff - even after living together for 2 months which we supplied all evidence of - they still doubted our relationship sincerity !!!

ill agree with what was said here the women are different but when you get a good one its the best myself i am 43 and my lady is 36 i spent the month of may with her in moldova and im going back again around the 15th october for another week and she should be here by december if the lawyer will get is things together good luck and enjoy yourself if is worth every bit you put into it hammer
