Yes , E-mailing is a fantasy until you land over there. If you make the journey prepared and come back home, you will surely start a better thread with more substance. A year or so back I developed, what transpired to be, a skin fungal infection, we all have fungus in our skins but only so often it flares up. Now at the time I didn't know what it was and I was SERIOUSLY concerned it might be a cancer or similar, going to the doctor I felt it worth mentioning that I was a regular visitor to Zaporozhye, Ukraine where they have bad air, bad water, a stockpile of 'dodgy' missiles that went up in smoke a couple of years back and Chernobyl is not a million miles away. What were the doctor's reactions to Ukraine, only to suggest sexually transmitted diseases including HIV. Of the one disease the doctor suggested I read about it on a website and the symptons were the exact opposite of what I had, boy did they make me angry that as soon as you mention Ukraine their 'gutter minds' can only think of sex. I even saw a specialist who was dumbfounded by what I had but they prescribed me some tablets and it went away only to reappear some 6 months later. During that 6 months I had relocated thus more recently I went to see another doctor, straight away he identified my condition, some latin name that I couldn't possibly repeat, and prescribing me a totally different course of tablets and the problem has gone away. It really p1sses me off that these naive idiots, as soon as you mention somewhere like Ukraine, can only think of sex and they have the audacity to suggest STD's when a bloke has merely got a simple fungal infection. I was stuck in the Simferopol train station last month for 24 hrs. because of a weapons depot exploding and all train traffic coming into and out of Simferopol was halted for almost 24 hrs. What an experience that was! Thousands of people sitting and laying almost on top of each other throughout the train station, outside, everywhere! And there I was with nobody speaking English trying to figure out what the heck was going on and where my train was! Thank goodness for a cell phone and my English speaking Ukrainian friends in Kharkov!
