Anatasia is old news, very old news. They are under federal investigation here in the states. Hell I would never do a site that has a pay per letter, that's just opening up for an idiot to get ripped off.
First of all if you believe what the media prints and portrays in print and film, you need to consider who the loser is. Talk about sheep being led to slaughter. I'm sure the media in Australia is about as corrupt as the media in America so where is the credence there? Remember the media is selling and I'm one that's not buying, especially when they have no problem damaging a persons reputation for ratings and commercial gain. They do this without documentation, background investigation.
As for the what the consulate shows in videos I will be finding that out very soon. So we have one item to debate. If they show Larissa a film on what to do if I treat her badly, I will be the first to report it back to the forum. I know men who have gotten ripped off, I've learned from those guys what not to do and what to look for. I will be at her interview in little over month. Then I will report back what goes on in an interview. I know I can't be in there when she is interviewed, but I will be in the building.
Agencies are already on a downward trend because of corruption and scammers, this is also not news. The legit one's are paying the price for the easy buck some idiots have spent with them. I haven't spent a dollar with an agency, never used their high priced interpreters, had them arrange my travel plans, pick out the hotels etc. That is why I'm not a supporter of socials and have been in debates with members here regarding this.
Not all of us are idiots that just go off the boat. Yes I know a friend that has been married to a Ukrainian woman for 13 years they live in Vancouver, Washington. Maybe that is what influenced my bias to look for a woman in Ukraine. Also I am one that does not believe in finding a woman 20 years your junior. Also I'm very much in tune with the homesickness problem. It is something Larissa and I have discussed many times. If a man takes care of business and loves his lady enough, homesickness, though it may be a temporary problem can be overcome.
And if you truly want to see a scam, check out the American Judicial system in regards to divorce and child support. Now theres a scam, I've lost more money there than with any woman from the FSU.
I don't care about your negative posts here, just bring post's with substance instead of these broadbrushed diatribes of useless information that most of us who have traveled in the FSU already know about.
What about anti scam sites that scam men out of money. UAProfiler is one that comes to mind. They refuse to answer emails when they are caught with their hands in the cookie jar. They grab innocent womens profiles and post them on their sites for gaining revenue from men. So it gives the perception that they are really providing a wonderful service.
There are many scams in the FSU, it's our personal responsibility to learn of them and avoid them.
After Hurricane Katrina there were over 3000 websites posted to collect money to help the survivors of that storm. I would bet there was at least one scam site there.
Nas, JMO, Sailor and myself have all asked you to back up your claims with examples. You have not done this.
You make wild claims that are completely unsupported by facts and still insist you are right and the rest of the world is wrong. You said originally that you had marriesd a Ukrainian girl along with 5 others and it failed. Now you say you did not.
Nas gave you a solid example of a marriage that worked. Still you are here - why?
You are preaching to the choir. We all know a great deal more about this than you we know what we are doing. We do not need 'help' from an unexperienced Australian who's every word is to put it mildly doubtful.
Prove your case or shutup. At the moment you have proved nothing except an inability to write properly.
Oh and lastly please learn the difference between Ukrainian and Russian women. They are two different countries with two different languages and they are definitely not the same women.
Hey Mike
Your argument is even more tired than mine....
The media reports on hundreds of aussie men who show their faces on tv. now how fucken embarrasing would that be for them?? So why is that not genuine. They get on TV to warn people like you ...Its not corrupt in this regard
And let it be known the reason so many scammers exist is because of people like you.. easy targets... I could tell you some amazing stories. You wont see the video. It will be shown to her without your presence. Moscow was doing this last year at least ... They get given phone numbers to ring if they are abused etc...
izifaddag I have never married a russian chick i suggest you read my posts carefully. sponsoring them for a few months isnt marrying them. I did that 10 years ago and definetely didnt want to marry her.. Ive learnt so much since about the entire industry .Ive also learnt that the girls arent as sexy on the web sites as they used to be... Im only reffering to attractive girls.. I mean shit what 5th grade woman with kids wouldnt want to leave ukraine and stay .. shes hardly going to have a bf in ukraine ..
Actually the girl I am with now is a lot more sexy than the picture. She was better in real life than the photo! But why am I trying to explain myself to the man that is privy to exclusive knowledge about the entire industry and knows everything and everyone. Silly me.
Yes I will write to her immediately and tell her that I have been talked out of it by you.
Can you not see what utter nonsense you are spouting? You had 1 bad experience and you have let it grow into some kind of obsession. I have also seen TV programs about this and they all seem to be pretty positive. Not every case is a winner as they have shown on TV but many are. More win than lose.
Izi, I agree totally, my girl is very pretty in her pictures but she is so much more beautiful in person. In fact, the pictures supplied by felicedate when he delivers flowers are better than the agency pictures. They show her with natural environment and her usual very fashionable attire.
Oh shit we live in Florida there aren't any hills. I will compromise. Get on something that will float and start paddling into the Gulf of Mexico as hard as possible.
Sh&t, I just sold my boat, I could have floated off on that, guess I am doomed to a lifetime of happiness, mind blowing sex, and a beautiful woman on my arm with her son.
Just think what I gave up, I could be as unhappy as Van and spouting off lies and misinformation. Damn, I could have been the forum genius.
MIKE;
Forgive me for being naive, but what is with the post about Anastasia being under Federal Investigation here in the States? I tried to do a Google search to see what I could find....
All I got was a pile of Anastasia advertising & a few sites that mentioned they were a marriage agency. I did find a one web-log where the guy said he was going to sue Anastasia and start his own investigation, but it seemed about as flakey as Vanechka.... Do you have any Actual info on this or any links?
It makes me wonder, because as far as I can tell Fiance.Com (The people who are providing you with this forum) & Anastasia partner on their tour packages.
From my experiences with FBI Agents, which are several (John Otto, Former Director of the FBI is a longtime friend of my father's), the FBI doesn't release investigation information to the public unless it is in court documents where charges are filed. And only then does it release pertinent information about it's findings, not specific information about the investigation. They definately Don't release information about on-going investigations.
Thought I'd ask to find out if your statement is substantiated or if you just hate sites that operate on a "Pay-per-View" basis.....
Anyone else that has specific info on Anastasia or other services that may be knowingly operating dishonestly, put your comments in here as well.....
Vanechka, Embarss themselves on TV. Shit dude you haven't seen Jerry Springer then, well It will soon come your way, so an idiot paid enough money by the media will get up and make himself out an asshole. Jesus man grow a brain. The media sells, sells, sells, so does the news. Current Affair is not a program I would trust to highly.
I beleve a guy from the US had been writting to a girl in Odessa, or thats what he beleved, proberbly a guy in the office !,
when he went there to meet her, it was obvious that she had not been writting the letters as she did not know who he was,
Chris, sounds like the guy's got a legit complaint on that one... Any idea if it could have been qualified by sending her some flowers, a telephone call, or a simple background check...... At least before travelling to Odessa to see her on letters alone.....
So what's the program for making sure you're not writing to Boris... or Borislana... ?
Mindwire,
I've never done the flowers thing or background check, phone calls yes but they can prove very little, and I've always met with the lady I was intending to meet.
I guess it is what is called 'gut instinct', reading into letters, not falling in love with a photo, using internet search engines and doing what you believe is right.
Perhaps I've been lucky but I've always used my common sense, and one trick I pass on to the ladies also, particularly in the early letters always try to ask 2 questions per letter to establish if you are receiving 'canned' or personal letters, if less than 75% of your questions get answered then move on.
Martin;
Only 2 questions? I'm a LOT more inquisitive than that. Usually, the women answer all or most of my questions, and I'd take notice if they weren't following the conversation line in my letter writing. I guess I'm naturally sceptical, so I continue to qualify what she is saying from one letter to the next. As you can tell by my posts in this forum, I'm pretty long winded so I don't think a woman could read and properly respond to the letters I write in less than 20 or 30 minutes. I don't think some guy in an agency is going to take the time to be thorough enough to string me along. Maybe I've already got it covered.....
As for falling in love with a photo... My latest pictures (which I took myself) make me look 10 years younger than I am, so I assume the pictures are taken under the best possible conditions for the women too... and they could be old photos. I don't put stock in anything sight-unseen. When looking through profiles I try to imagine if they would still look good when they're dead asleep & drooling on the pillow.... :o)
Since I use the Anastasia site, as well as a few others, I was wondering if there were some improprieties that I had not been aware of other than the occaisional "carbon copy" letters I receive, and the repeated correspondences I receive from women I would consider "Professional Daters". I've been watching the sites for quite some time, anticipated a few pitfalls, and been an irregular reader of this forum for over a year, so I'm not completely uninformed. When I catch bits of information such as Mike posted above about Anastasia, I think it's only prudent to inquire.... since I've already booked the flight and may choose to make contact with a woman from their site.
My plan is to get to Kiev on Dec 27th (leaving Phoenix on the 26th), get my bearings in a place I've never been to, get hooked up with an interpreter, and have arrangements made to meet a few women between Dec 28th & January 7th, and check out the sights. Then off to St. Pete's from Jan 8th to the 20th.
What do I EXPECT from this trip....
I expect a flight with uncomfortable seating that crashes every 300 miles, my luggage to be mistakenly dropped in the sea, a roach infested hotel or apartment without any heat, to be the only one in either country that speaks any english, to meet a few women who turn into warewolves at dusk, to be robbed a few times & beat up at least twice by police, and to be mistakenly deported to the arctic circle or buried in a shallow grave.
So: Just about any variance from my expectations will make it a pleasant experience.
It would be nice if some of the people in these forums could provide factual information, rather than a bunch of garbage they've made up in their own heads (Yes, I'm talking about you Vanechka), so I could raise my expectations just a little bit.
Mindwire I will find the link and post it here for you. It was an interesting article posted by someone's attorney who is looking for other people that were duped out of money, he might be doing some gold digging on his own looking for others to file a class action suit. I think if I remember correctly the complaint was filed to the IFCC here in the states, which the FBI picked up on.
Irrelevant if I like pay per letter sites, which I don't, I won't attack without some basis. Which I could care less about Anatasia personally.
stand somewhat corrected, but here is one of the documents I have found regarding suits and Legal actions against some agencies.
Legal action against Anastasia Web
We are looking for men that have been SCAMMED by Anastasia and or Anastasiaweb. We believe this to be the largest SCAM in US history and we are filing a Multi Plaintiff Lawsuit in Federal Court against them. If you have been SCAMMED it will cost you nothing to joining the lawsuit. If you have questions or have lost money with this company please contact me directly David Starkey 918-342-3648.
together with...
AnastasiaWeb ('AW')
aka Anastasia International Inc., Russian Brides, Scanna International.
I have documentary evidence (emails, web pages etc..) which show the following facts:
AW admits that its agents in CIS countries encourage girls to spam men for responses. This means that the more men who reply the higher the revenue earned by AW and its agents. It also means that the 'interest' of the woman is often not genuine.
AW admits that in many cases the initial letter purporting to be from the lady is, in fact, from the agency itself and not from the lady. I have noticed that usually the lady's profile either does not match my criteria or I do no match her criteria!
AW promotes tours to meet ladies in CIS countries yet its own web site states that its last tour was during December 2001!
The agent of AW will use an identical letter to impersonate the lady. I have evidence which shows an identical letter purporting to come from the same lady addressed to different male id profiles.
AW's agent will initiate correspondence and hence impersonate a lady even after that lady is listed as no longer available on the AW web site.
My evidence contains written confirmation from two ladies who confirm they did not write letters to me until I contacted them through another channel. This meant I was writing to the agency who was duping me as to the lady's intentions. My feelings were being exploited.
I am therefor planning to initiate a lawsuit in Maine, USA where AW has its headquarters. I plan this to be a class action to recover the charges which AW obtained by fraud and damages including punitive damages.
I invite all men who have had similar experiences to mine with this organisation to join me in this action. It will be on a 'no win no fee' basis for the lawyer so there will not be any risk to the complainant.
At this time the following brief details are required from each complainant:
Date started using the services of AW or its affiliates
Date stopped using their services
The amount of money paid to AW etc.. during this period.
A summary of your experiences.
Please write to me, John Watt, at:
aw_claim@yahoo.co.uk
Anastasiaweb denies any lawsuit because the head office is in the USA, and the offices are in FSU. These guys are in the UK. So, although I am sure nothing will come of the lawsuit, it is a matter of geography, not Anastasiaweb's lame attempt to discredit the guys doing it.

Mindwire,
It was just the way I did things, a minimum of 2 questions, if there was things I particularly wanted to know then I would ask more questions but even if I was happy about how things were proceeding I would still find a couple of questions to include in the letter.
Kiev & Ukraine is OK, there are plenty of apartments online, go for one around USD60 a night and you should get a decent one and have the same company that you rent the aparment from pick you up and drop you off at the airport.
As you clear customs ec. in Kiev all you hear is taxi, taxi, taxi. These are sharks, if 'net' doesn't have the desired effect then 'go away' in an angry tone sometimes works of they seem to understand, as I needed to resort to in Odessa earlier this year, 'fock off' and again in an angry tone, they got the message.
