I am getting ready to start the paperwork to bring my fiancé from Ukraine to the US but at the moment I am living with my sister because of the breakup of my ex-girlfriend that happened about two years ago. At the time of the breakup it was just easier and cheaper to move in with my sister. I am saving a ton of money by living with her but I will either get an apartment or try and buy a house so that my fiancé will have a nice place to live. The problem is that if I move now I will be missing out on saving money but does anyone on here think there would be a problem starting the fiancé paperwork using my sister’s home address and then once the fiancé visa has been approved go ahead say a month before my fiancé gets here to the states and then buy a house?
Ice that shouldn't be any problem. You just have to list your past five years on residency on your documents. It isn't that big of a microscope that they put up your butt. So don't sweat the small stuff. The biggest thing is having your documents in order, ie, divorce decrees, etc. The most difficult is getting her documents. It can be slow and tedious at times.
