Can I invite my Russian girlfriend to an E.U. country? Someone told me that the younger and more finacially dependent the girl the more difficult it is to get her a Schengen visa. The authorities would have to be convinced that the woman has strong reasons to return to her country such as kids, property, good job, etc. Olga Moderator send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 12/2/2002 6:57:17 AM   Actually it depends on the country she is going to visist, as far as I know Spain is much easier in comparison with France and Italy...Ypu are quite right-the younger and more finacially dependent the girl the more difficult it is to get her a Schengen visa.But usually travel agencies provide all necessary assistance-they will explain her how to get a paper from the place of employment of a girl,confirming that she has a well paid job. Even if she doesnt has a job like this, most travel agencies will help her to get it.But as far as I know, thats not a problem. Especially it is not a problem when a girl foes with a tour group. The problems ocur when she just wants to get a visa and is not booking hotels immediately.THis always looks suspicious t local authorities and they even can reject her visa application. Do you know, which source would be able to provide accurate information related to this matter? Can you suggest an agency like the ones you described above? Please note that my schedule does not allow much flexibility, so taking a trip as part of a tour group would be very difficult. I am rather looking for a short, custom-made trip. It depends on the country you are going to invite her. Different countries-members of EU have different regulations. You can legally invite her anywhere. But the procedure will be the same-she will have to prove that she is going for a visit and after that she returns back anyway.You will not avoid this process. Sure, I am not the sourse of accurate information, because it is a dating service and not a travel buerau.I cant suggest you any agencies as well just because: I dont know where your girl lives.She should contact a local travel agency in a city where she lives and they will give her all the information regarding visas to this or that country. If you want her to have a custom made trip, be sure that you will have problems with it. She may need to have all the proves that all her hotels are booked in advance, otherways the agency will require her to book the hotels with them, even if then she is going to live in some other place.Once again, it depends on the country where she goes. The rules are different, so my advice would be to contact the travel agency or the embassy of this country in Russia.
