Author Post zed22000 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 12/9/2002 12:51:50 AM   What a lovely lot of russian women there seem to be... and to attract us men to the site a free first letter is offered -or is it free - this is my first time and I have sent 6 letters to rather nice women.. the first reply was within 24 hours - but alas after reading it I realised it was just a computer generated letter - possibly one this particular girl filled out a few months ago - one that every man would recieve who contacted her - so its not a real reply at all.. so lets get honest here olga - its not a real free first letter is it ??? now i feel a scam coming on and I'm not sure about passing my credit card details to such an agency ... I mean that agencies have a contract with us, according to that thay are obliged to deliver each message to girls. But since some people are interested in getting money much more, then helping people to meet each other, sometimes we have cases when the agencies send responces on the behalfof the girls. I can also tell you that we are constantly working on those cases, and as soon as we get claims like that from our customers we investigate those case and ask the agencies to provide the proves that the girl really exists and that she finally got the message from this costomer. Moreover, sending of a pre-written responses is a serious reason to stop our coperation with this agency.So if you feel that this is a scam-contact us.Since its a gfreemesage-you didnt loose your money and we can avoid scams at the beginning. There is one more reason too.As you know, first messages are free on the site and each men can write an unlimited number of free first letters.After that when they get a responses they choose only two or one lady for further paid correspondence. So it happens that a lady can write 20 responses and after that nobody of those men will write her back( because all those men wrote more then 200 fre letters and got like 100 responses to choose.)So ladies are choosy too, and in order not to waste their time they just let the agency send the first message to each one who contacts her. Usually first letters contains detailed info on her biography and things that she wants in life.This is a second case. And the third one, that is not in your favour ;-) Sometimes men wrire short letters, like "Hello, my height is xxx, my weight is xxx I am coming to Russian soon, bye."No other information,and after that men are greately surpriesed that they get pre-written messages. Why not? I can understand the lady that send it.If a man didnt cared to write a nice and warm letter about himself, why the lady should care to do same thing to him???And why an agency of the lady should care to deliver a couple of lines to the girl?(just note-you send first message for free, it means that when a girl gets your message, nobody is paid for this-the agency delivers it for free and the agency sends , types and translates her response for free.Why people should make lots of efforts for free, it the initial message of men doesnt worth it? Did he wrote about his life, ot asked her some questions, or shared his ideas?? No he didnt. then why should she care?. I know many ladies who are genuenly intersted in finding a husband, but they are overwhelmed with letters like "Hello sweety, would you like to chat with guy like me?Write me!Bye, John" Those ladies just ask the agencu forward her initial response. This is for saving her time and the time of the other people. And I am 100%( or lets better say 90%) sure that all warm, detailed and long letters get the real( not pre-written responses of the same kind) Please understand I am not justifying the agency that send you a pre-written answer in 24 hours. I know you order ID and I'll have a talk with this agency on this case. I just wanted to explain you-if you feel that this is scam-contact us please. I sent a first free letter accompanied by a picture (I paid for the pic) to 4 girls from this site four months ago. I got four responses. One notified me that the girl had asked that her profile be removed from the site, another girl responded one month later saying how sorry she is she could not respond earlier, etc., the girl sounded real, but the excuses didn't, so I didn't bother to reply. The third one responded with a letter that sounded real and we exchanged a couple more letters only to realize that we ran out of fuel. The fourth girl was the one that I was most interested in to begin with. We exchanged four translated letters through the site. In every letter I was more and more convinced that we were incredible match and I started thinking that she might be the one. I've got to admit that I am generally suspicious and gave her some hard time until I became convinced about her intentions, but this also convinced me that she was truly interested in me. I asked her phone number and called her directly. I was astonished to find out that her English was very good and also she had direct email, which she shared with me. We continued writing emails and speaking on the phone 2-3 times weekly. Our interest for each other grew very much and I was invited to her country. I was in Kiev, Ukraine in mid-November for 5 days and she came from another city to meet me. These were the 5 best days in my entire life, no kidding. We have totally fallen in love with each other. I am going to her city in Christmas for ten days to meet with her again and also meet with her parents. I have also started the process to bring her to America as soon as possible. My life has totally changed and she has become the most important part of it. So, bottom line, my advice is this: don't get discouraged by scams or ill-conceived ways to make money. You are out there in the hope that you'll hit that jackpot that will entirely change your life. I think there are many Russian women out there who are real and they would make fabulous life partners. I have tried other dating sites in the last four five months and spent a few hundred dollars sending letters and receiving mostly fake replies. The best example of on-line dating fraud is a site called: Anastasia Web. I posted my profile for free and then received more than 100 emails and pictures from ladies in 7 days (I stopped counting at some point). The catch is that there are no first free letters. You've got to pay $6 to open a lady's letter and then another $6 to send a reply and so on. The letters are supposed to be translated, but you are limited to a couple of paragraphs. In addition, you cannot ask for the lady's email (because that's how the site's owners make their money). So, my experience is that dating-ru is overall a legitimate site and the deals they offer are reasonable when compared to the crap that is about hit the fan in this industry. At the end of the day, you will have to spend some money to get what you want and some of this money may be wasted. To some extent, it's a bit of a gamble for us, but it's also a gamble for the ladies. My girl came to meet me in Kiev and of course we had established a confidence level in each other already, but what if I were a freak pretending to be legit and intended to harm her? Let's take the point of view of the girls also and apply some common sense. My view is that if the first reply is a computer generated letter, don't waste more time, change gears and pick another girl, don't waste your time and money. Also, be very clear about what you want from her and what you are willing to offer to her from the first letter. If you don't get in her first letter specific response to your questions, don't bother. Hope this helps a little.
