"My future beloved must take care of me, of course." she wrote in her profile. -I could of course ask herself what that means, however, it sets off alarm bells in my head. -Somethings about the "before" picture from Ibsen's "A Doll's House" (or whatever it is called). Something about a beautiful wife who does not need to bother her little beautiful head with the realities of life. Perhaps I am wrong?

Does that mean provide her with enough money to buy groceries, pay the light bill, & put gas in the car..... or a foot massage after serving her breakfast in bed, while she ponders whether to get the sable or the mink coat???????

"Take care of" and "care for" are often used synonimously by Russian women. If that is the case with her she actually intended to say "My future beloved must care for me of course." To have an entire thread dedicated to a single sentence in a profile, in any event, seems absurd. I only wonder how log you would question my innocent greeting if I met you on the street and said "How do you do?" You'd be qustioning... "How do I do....what?" Why is he asking? Does he want to "do" whatever I "do" better than I "do"? Is that a challenge? Does he think I don't "do" something very well? What's he after?

Yes Jetmba.. I totally agree.. I think Geri instead should start his own little thread called "I don't get what she is telling me", and then collect all of his questions about strange things they say in their profiles to that thread instead of one thread for each small sentence he seem to really search for... Geri.. Are you searching for women or grammar? ;))

So, when I reversed it you could see that it is more than that: "... "Take care of" and "care for" are often used synonimously by Russian women. ..." !! By the way: When you get the time, think about the problems in the Ibsen play mentined above... And thanks for your friendly advice.
