I was always against it in the past but now I am starting to reconsider since I have just about lost any trust with an agency, or girls with private emails. Anyone have good experience with this? Also anyone whos been, who would you recommend. I'e already checked the archives here and other forums, checked websites of those who conduct tours, but I would like to hear from someone who went recently. When I looked at these tours, some years back, they include air travel, as an instance, from/to JFK, what frigging use is such air travel from/to JFK for a non North American? More recently, from the work my wife does, there is a Western European agency charging Euro 7000 for a 10 day trip to Ukraine. If you were to write to some ladies in advance, perhaps from the same city, then you could meet each of them, one on one, and it would just be you and her in perhaps a candlelit restaurant. If you meet within a group of men, and indeed ladies, you might be one guy amongst a hundred, it's all very well meeting other guys but this is a 'dog eat dog' world and whilst you may stand there chatting, they may be busy snapping up the best looking girls. I admit I've never been on a tour, I've always travelled and met ladies independently and informally, not as if it may be a business transaction. If you were to travel independently the airfare may be USD1000, 11 nights accommodation maybe USD660, airport transfers USD40, that would leave you USD1600, approximately 50% of the cost of a tour and out there you can do a hell of a lot with USD1600. What Chrisc4 said was somewhat tongue in cheek, he didn't mean it literally but, like me, he can't understand a guy spending USD3300, twice as much as he needs to pend, on a week and a half in FSU. That's business. If your a newbie then I would recommend a tour. You can meet a lot of good interpreters and create a network for any future trips to the Ukraine. You can also meet a lot of guys just like you on the tour. I have made some good new friends along the way. I know travel and meet up with them in the Ukraine from time to time. Its an especially good idea whn new to this entire -which, I realize, you are NOT, but its a great idea for ANY man that wants to meet great women - without the hit and miss of letter writing. I worked with European Connections - but I also understand that A Foreign Affair is quite good. There is another agency that I had some contact with in Odessa where a PRIVATE TOUR is available. They provide the apartment the driver, the interpreter and as many introductions as you need to be "in love". The women on his website are exclusively signed - and all personally interviewed by Frank - the owner, who is an American. I beleive his website is www.ukrainebride(s).com (either with or without the "s" I don't recall). I've considered using his services as weel. Don't let the nay-sayers here deter you. Or is this also a figment of your twisted little mind? I think that everyone who reads this forum is aware by now, that Marty is a kook. That she might still live in Ukraine, lends SOME credibility to the idea that there IS actually a woman that Marty might be involved with (as it is quite doubtful that anyone could actually LIVE with a nutcase like him) but I have very strong reservations. Most of the stunning woman at tours are paid models who are there to make it look glamorous.. Ive never been on a tour but this is what many agents told me.. And at the end of the day look at the photos from these tours... 60 year old men with sexy slim woman in their arms Its bloody embarrassing...
