Scammers are a very useful tool in teaching people lessons on life. If you have sent money to women you didnt know and they have run off with it, learn from the lesson and move on.
Scammers should be left alone so that they can help others by continuing to teach these valuable lessons.
Its all natural selection.
200 camaro, I have to agree with Martin_UK, my wife is also from Odessa, Ukraine. When I went to visit the first time, my wife was working two jobs, from 8:00AM until 12:00AM most days. When I went to visit, she took the entire time off, even though she could not afford it as I was her guest and she needed to spend time with her man. The culture there would not allow them to treat a guest otherwise. If your girlfriend did not take time off from work and onlymet you in the evenings, there is little interest in you, if any. My wife did not speak any English either and I did not bother with an interpreter. We used a hand translator and spend some time typing into a computer application for Russian/English translation. Half the fun is learning to communicate. If by the time you go over to visit, you haven't ironed out all the important issues in your letters, you are meeting too soon. The meeting should be just to confirm that you are making the right decision. That way the meeting is fun and just a prelude to the Fiance Visa Process and bringing her over.
Ah, yes... Be Happy 2 Day Agency... what fond memories that brings back.
OK. First off, I've been to Tver twice and one of the BH interpreters is a good friend now. And from her i learned much that really went on behind the curtains...
And my pesonal experiences were very teling as well..
I've met Yaroslav (the owner) a few times, the administrators and all of the interpreters. Yaroslav is tall, handsome and quite charming man. He has an honest face - but do not let that fool you for one minute. It's all about the $$$$$$$$.
The interpreters write more than 90% of the letters, and in some instances, the interpreters fall in love with the men they are writing to (completely unbeknownst to those men - who think they are writing to genuine ladies).
When you send flowers, they do not get them. They go to the BH office. I speak a little Russian and what was discussed while I sat in the tiny BH office was scandelous and shocking. Scammers is a gross understatement.
When you get there - the ladies that you have been corresponding with the most - or the ones that you are most interested in - are "busy" or "out of town". My initial reaction was "WTF"?
Until I learned what was REALLY going on...
There are a few genuine ladies - I met 3 of the 24 or so I met over my visits. Unfortunately, I was not interested in them so no fireworks happened.
Of the remaining 21 ladies? They were all young, extremely attractive, bored, petulant, arrogant, self-centered - and all professional daters. They dated every foreign man that came through Tver, got a nice dinner and presents, and then moved on. They had ZERO clue about the vast majority of my prolific letters and nothing about me. They knew what I looked like because they did get that much from the agency, but that was it.
None of them spoke English - even the ones that said that they did in their profile.
Other things - almost 100% of the girls/women smoked like chimneys and drank like fish. Their profile (of course) said non-smoker and non-drinker.
Additionally, most of them had boyfriends - many times, multiple boyfriends, even married boyfriends. That seems to be quite normal there. The vast majory had zero intention of ever leaving Tver - far less Russia.
BH (via fake letters) refused to divulge any personal information - this over a period of almost 7 months.
Taxis to SVO airport in Moscow, to St. Petersburg, to Tarjok, to Moscow, were astronomically expensive - all in US Dollars, of course.
All told I spent circa $14,000 with BH - all for nothing.
But you live and learn - and move on.
My only advice to anyone is this : UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE THE BE HAPPY 2 DAY AGENCY.
Hope you guys can help me out. I'm just wondering if anybody's got anything good to say about this website. I started getting emails from girls at this site around the time I registered with Anastasia. I never even joined the behappy2day site. When I emailed the behappy staff they said "well, obviously it's because I joined another website." Well, most of the girls that email me are beautiful, but in their early 20's. Then one day I got an email from one girl that just intrigued me. I put it off for a while before I took the plunge. At first I just bought a couple tokens to read what she said and now I've exchanged several emails and even bought another round of tokens. I hinted around the question on whether or not she was legit and she said yes, so that's all I've got to go on. Is there any other ways to find out if she is? Oh, she's 29, not 20. I just want to know if anybody has had any luck with this site or knows anybody that has. I'd really like to get to know this girl, but with this Russian dating thing it seems that you're just rolling the dice. I'm also a paid customer of Elena's, which I believe is legit, but seems too hard to find a woman there. By the way, I met my ex-wife online unconventionally through the yahoo or aol personals back in 2000 and we were married in 2001 and finally divorced last year. She was a great girl, but we just went our separate ways.
yeah ok. apart from the fact that behappy2day are lying cheating scumbags that take money from the gullible men - success story you ask??? it is certainly a success for behappy2day.com because they are making money out of it.
I Would say with 100% surety " OneWife.com is a scam site. Firstly I was registered as a profile by the site itself. I did not register with them. I have no idea how they got the few details listed, but I started to receive emails from drop dead gorgeous females, all 20 to 26 years old. I am 66. I went to the site and viewed my profile. I was given a christian name, and my age was listed. that is all. I received a id number and password in the mail and clickinging on the link automatically connected me to the site with out even to enter the password.
At first I resisted the temptation to read the emails but as the number grew to 40 ravishing women all eager for me to correspond with them i eventually picked one and purchased 2 credits. total cost $20.00 australian. This allowed me to read her letter. I included my email address for her to mail me back.
However when I read the letter back in the OneWife sites outbox my email address was only asterisks. Not only that but i had used my two credits. $10.00 to read and $10.00 to reply.
I then picked another beautiful profile and repeated the process. This time I wrote my email address in non computer terms and sent off my reply. this time the outbox showed no automatic deletion of the link, but her reply was that her traanslator had deleted all reference to my attempts to sneak it past their scanner, but also she spoke no english and relied wholly on the translator to write her letters and read my letters to her.
So i replied, saying " Look you are a gorgeous woman but, quite frankly I don't need to have a third person reading and writing all correspondence between you and I so unless you have a home computer or a private address you can give me this is goodbye.
I pressed send and almost instantaneously a message flashed on the screen. SORRY THIS PROFILE HAS BEEN DELETED FOR BREACHES OF OUR CODE OF ETHICS AND YOUR LETTER WAS NOT DELIVERED.
However it still cost the $10.00 credit. I revisited her profile 2 days later and it was back on the site.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS SITE IT IS A SCAM. SIGNED WOTZUPP DOC.
Wot.......were thinking??? If you don't mind, I think you should not be into this FSU thing. The 'temptaions' will get worse if you proceed. I guess curiosity got the best of you to open that first letter but what were you thinking to include your address( cheapie), most sites do not let you( it is in their procedures), this girl didn't speak english anyway, how was she supposed to write you???? I guess you spent, what $50. One last thing, first letters are always form letters.
I can deffinitely agree with everyone that says BeHappy is a scam agency. I know from personal experience. I used their service once and will NEVER use them again. I also discourage anyone from using them too.
Regarding the American that others cite as the real owner, John. He is not. John is a personal friend of mine. He does not want anything to do with that agency or Yaroslav. He left along time ago. As did Richard, the Canadian. Both told me they did not like what he did with the agency.
I am personal friends with some of the former interpreters and clients there. They told me how they were forced to write responses to male clients. They also told me how there were professional daters. If you meet and get along with one of the more popular girls, they were encourage to sabotage the relationship. That happened to me.
Some of the clients said they never got a date. In one case, however, there was one such girl that I know three guys that did write to her. And two were in town and wanted to date her.
Another favorite trick of the agency is to charge you interpreting services even if the girl speaks English. In my case, I was suppose to meet my girl friend for dinner with my Russian friends. Everything was set until I told the agency I don't need an interpreter. My friends spoke English and Russian fluently... They called at the last minute to say she couldn't make it. Later on, when I called her, she said the Agency said I cancelled. The agency didn't know I had her number.
The taxi service that the agency uses charges two and three times as much as a regular taxi service you call for on your own. I went from Hotel Zarya to SharPei bowl, which is a long ride, and paid 1/3 the price of trips that were much shorter than when the agency called.
Another girl I met there gave me her address and email address. We corresponded a bit after we met throught the agency. I sent her a gift for christmas on my own through a floral service there. She sent me an email back thanking me for the gift but said she never corresponded with me after we met.
One time, I was at a cafe. The waitress looked very familiar. Her English was very good. We talked. Then I realized she was one of the girls in the BeHappy catalog. I asked her about it. She said, "That agency is no good. I am not a client there, but they still have my photo. I am now happily married and still they have my photo."
Further to my original letter, as the letters continued to roll in, I kept updating my profile. Insisting that corespondents must speak and write English and have a home internet connection.
In OneWifes rules, home addresses are permissable to be exchanged. So in subsequent letters I included my home address and asked that they write to me in their own language and I would have the letter interpreted and I would write back to them in Russian. Although all girls said they would, no letters ever arrived.
However in one letter that I received the girl wished me a belated happy birthday. My profile birthday which was fake and still had a month to pass before being due.
So quite clearly They had my real birthday which leads me to the conclusion that the people writing to me have access to a profile that is completely different to the one the so called interested girls would have access to.
So I, just for a joke, wiped all details off my profile and changed my name to just one letter. Put my age up to 87 years old and made myself so unattractive as to be repulsive and still the letters arrive.
I did not register with this site, they registered me. But I have proven I think that it is not genuine, because I am registered on Elena's Models and they are like chalk and cheese.
At Elana's you are free to swap emails at any time and any personal information you choose. The range and ages of the women are the full spectrum from 18 to 80 and there is every region represented.( not just the city of TVER)
The women from Elena's nearly always are very familiar with all you have written in your profile and ask questions about it.
Here I have found honesty in all my dealings and have been lucky emough to find an absolute gem. I have never been asked for money or had to deal with sob stories , parents dying, sick children etc. etc.
I spent roughly $100 investigating and researching this site called one wife to allow myself to compare it to Elena's and I would say Elena's is genuine. OneWife is not.
So my advice to any one is don't waste money on OneWife go to Elana's and just be genuine and write honestly and as open as you can.
You will soon know by the way she responds to your honesty and by her writing if she is in tune with you.
We will be married in April. And if there is anything further I would recommend it is "invest in a Webcam." Face to face chats are almost as good as being there with each other.
I have said to stay away from this agency they are trouble!
Tverangels.com much better in that city Canadian runs it also says stay away from be happy!
You were with a scam agency for seven years? Why did you stay?
I think it's important to note here that while the website might not be a scammer, the agency might be. It is written many many times here that Army of Brides is a scam site, but I got my gf through there. AOB denied any part or complicity on the agency scams they did on me.
I get the same thing. I am 57 and I get 18-22 yr olds regularly. I wrote to site. reply was girls have freedom to write to whom they please. Listen to this one! This site has a sister site, I purposely did not finish my profile and I submited no photos. Got tons of letter. Scam? Buyer beware, bigtime!
I have a profile on bahappy but deleted all my photos. I still get 8-10 lettera day. Scam? I have learned these website send profile of the women round and round similar to a wheel. The women herself does not where her profile is landing. When you write to her to thank her for giving introduction she has no idea who you are. They are coached to accept your letter. scam?
Most agenies send out the letters for their girls! They will call it "Matchmaking" but the goal is profit making!! They will do what ever is needed to get men to read letters, and to write them!! I was on "One Wife" it is in the same building as Behappy, and the same group of women and one guy run it!
Just getting a lot of letters isn't a scam,,, but if you have no photo and no info,, and yet; you are so good looking and have so much incommon with the ladies,,, Yes, then it is a scam!! I also had the old "bait and switch" in Tver'!!
Look at the photos,, pick one you like and get an email address if it is allowed!! If it isn't,,,,,, don't waste a dime!!
