I am a couple of hours away from my flight from Chicago to Kiev. I just thought I would write all my friends and enemies alike. This has been an enjoyable pleasure for me. I may have been lucky in my search and then again maybe I just used some common sense.
To the new guys, don't stress out some much about finding a lady in the FSU. Let common sense guide you. Establish a relationship with one or a few ladies what ever works for you. Go visit them! Don't spend so much time identifying scammers, and comparing notes of untrustworthy women, you can find that out on your own. Share your experiences with everyone. The good, the bad, the indifferent. I only had one bad experience on my travels to Ukraine, DON'T FLY AIR FRANCE! Of the many things I have done in my 47 years of life, this has been the most enjoyable and exciting adventure I have had to pleasure to participate in.
I wish you all well and great luck in your search. Since I will have Larissa home with me on Feb 8th my posting on this forum is pretty much a thing of the past. She is an incredible woman, who has lived in a world that I will never understand. She is simple, yet complex and absolutely one of the most intelligent and tender woman I have had the pleasure to meet, spend time with and fall in love with.
My only advice, don't get involved in the paralysis analysis. Spend time learning their cultures and their past lives, these ladies are absolutely incredible when it comes to loyalty and showing love.
God Bless and I wish you all much sucess in your search for your soulmates.
I echo your feelings and I have had very similar experiences to you. I am only a few weeks behind you, buddy, and we will be speaking more on a personal basis.
I feel fortunate that I did not run up against scammers (that I know of) and met honest women. One was from this site, and one from EWM. I still get a great laugh from some of the older guys complaining about the girls that are 20+ years younger than them that turn out to be "scammers". Guess some guys just don't have a clue....but it does make for entertaining reading!
Finding a FSU girl is not an easy task and is never a sure thing. Really it is a bit of a gamble and the odds are often against us, but it can indeed work. If and when you find the right woman you will be happy and have a stronger loving relationship than you ever imagined. Unfortunately some will never find that.
nas...good words. Have a great trip, and congrats on your success. You seem like a stand up guy, just like the #6 driver! Thanks for your replies to my posts...you were very helpful.
neon...I totally aree it is a bit of a gamble. I've spent a lot of time screening ladies out , but I have had quite a few ask me for money. It could be because of the site I was at. Fortunately, I have met many honest ladies as well there and look forward to communicating more with them. No gurantees there either, but at least I can remove the question mark!

Best of luck to Nas and Neon.
Those words are so true guys, and if your lucky enough to meet the right one you will see for yourself. Good luck in your search and hopefully you will be as lucky as we are.
My lady is already here, as many of you know. Nas and I speaks frequently and he already knows I wish him well. His lady and mine have already spoken and are looking forward to meeting. Despite the conversation, his lady still wants to come to America. (a little inside joke)
I would love to tell you that indeed it can work and we are a proven success, I'll have to wait for our 50th anniversary for such remarks. I can tell you that these marriages are just like any other. You get out what you put in. Take stock of yourselves first, before wading in. Are you someone with poor swimming skills that heads for shore at the first sign of strong current?
I'll be back in 49.5 years to let you know how it turned out.
fiance.com you definitely deserve vanechkas on your site. You deleted my post, which was not insulting along with vanechka's, which was insulting both to me and to the person who initiated this thread. Nicely done!! You have absolutely no clue how to manage this forum (which by the way is no rocket science). Enjoy the vanechkas and the bullshit that comes along.
Well I'm sitting here in an internet cafe in Mariupol, waiting for Larisa to resign from her job. As for the Interview in Kiev, it was smooth as silk. If you have all your ducks in a row, the total time we spent at the consular was about one and a half hours. They are not starting the Victims advocate questioning as of yet for agencies. There is one distinct benefit of going with your lady to the embassy in Kiev. There was a long line in security to get inside the consulate. Now that is the time when an American passport means a little. Move up to the front of the line and get in quickly. Larisa's document inspection took about one hour and I went and paid for her visa. We waited for her to be called for the interview. When she was called, it didn't seem very long she was walking back towards me, I asked her did she forget something? She said no the interview was over and she had her Visa approved. 5 minutes, 5 questions end of story. No drama, no nothing. We spent a couple of days over in Kiev and went to the Fedex station and picked up her passport and Visa. Now the real adventure begins. We have been spending the last few days saying goodbye to friends and shopping for some Ukrainian friends back in the states.
Ditto you and I need to talk! Since I have raised a daughter I can give you some inside information on where to shop for women!LOL!!!Yes thanks to Your Lady I had to resell the idea of living in the states to Larissa! All kidding aside. Larissa has enjoyed talking to your wife. I think the network of friends will help them all. It will be nice for them to converse in their native tongue. I know Larissa gets headaches from hearing english all day.
Wtrav, forget about it, it's not worth arguing with fiance.com anymore, hell they deleted one of my posts and there was nothing inflammatory or argumentative about it. Yes they do deserve the idiots they get here.
P.S. Ditto in 49.5 years won't that make you 123.7 years old?????????
