Gentlemen, My fiance will interview at the Moscow Embassy the last of March. Everything so far has been smooth and on time. I deceided not to do all the paperwork myself because of my work schedule, and hired John Roth, so far so good. Now for my question. I have been told 2 different things on what happens after the interview. One is she will obtain her Visa immediatly after the interview, and the other is, it may take up to a week. For me this presents a problem. I would like to purchase airline tickets well in advancein order to get the loweset price, but one problem is , she may not be approved, and the other is , if she is approved it is impossible to determine when she would have her visa in hand and ready to fly to America. I know that many of you have faced the same issue. What is best, and what dis you guys do ? Thanks Bob
PS My intentions are to fly her from Moscow directly to Chicago, what are the best airlines that would service this route?
They don't give her the passport directly in Moscow. It will be sent in a prepaid envelope to her flat anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks from her approval. Roth should have all that taken care of. My lady preferred to fly Lufthansa
My lady received her visa in 3 days DHL. You need to arrive at the interview WITH the pre-paid envelope. We got ours in Moscow the day before. Skiired is right-Lufthansa is good-or you can take Delta to NY and then connect to Chicago (aeroflop flies SVO to JFK also).
Good luck and make sure you have all your ducks in a row.
