I'm a bit cinical and having read some of these threads it looks like I've got good reason to be. What's the best way to meet these ladies? I've noticed tours and socials mentioned, what are these all about? I've had a couple of ladies respond to my Ad and have emailed them back but......(Mr cynical coming here!) but why would some of these women want to meet someone from the "West" unless it was to get an EU (or similar) passport. I mean some of these women are gorgeous, why do they use this facility, what are they looking for and how much of it all is a scam?! Which ladies are the preference (Czech or Russian) and why? It won't help your case much if you travel thru the FSU referring to all of them as Russian, perhaps like referring to a Welshman as English! Why just Czech ladies and not other EU Eastern European block? If you want to meet a Czech lady then there are enough cheap flights from many UK airports to Prague, just check www.skyscanner.net If you want to meet an FSU lady then it's down to personal choice, some say write letters, some say go to a social and some say get your ass on a plane, you don't even need a visa to visit Ukraine for the time being. The choice is yours! Besty this is the smallest issue you will have. What you havent noticed on here is people like martin who after a while dissapear. You now why because they marry the russian girl who within 6 mnths gets bored and homesick and goes back. Martin will dissapear too one day when this happens to him ... The problem I have is that there is so much conflicting advice on the forum. Some say go for FSU women because they come with less baggage and are more likely to be looking for a proper relationship, whilst others seem to have a downer on all the ladies no matter what nationality!! I listened to the cynics when i made my trip to the ukraine and took the "cynics tour". i regret this. When i went to a social in peru, my eyes were really opened!! All she wants is a life of love and happiness, i intend to give her that, and i wont be using any agencies or organisations like that. However I would caution you to at least remember what the cynics say so as to be on you toes for posible scams. I am very new to this myself but, as the saying goes "I may have been born in the dark but it wasn't last night!" be throughin you're reseach and plan to travel more than once and use the good common sense God gave you instead of the other brain and you'll do fine. I'd say the advice to take a tour or two would be near top of the list. From what I understand you might meet someone there that you overlooked on line. I did find a site that was really helpful but only if you are wanting to bring a woman or whatever, to the UK.
