Just because an area is known for scammers does not mean everyone there is a scammer. You need to be on your toes while not jumping at shadows. You should be able to tell from the quality of the letters you receive from her whether or not there is something worth pursuing. Be careful and try and read between the lines but don't get paranoid. Keep in mind that translation is not an exact science and ask follow up questions if you read something that does not seem right. You will find 9 times out of 10 e-mail does not originate from Zelenodolsk but hundreds or thousands of kilometres away. I meet over internet at least 6 scammers who said they were from their. Well known scammer locale and use.
