I know it is near the sea and it is a large Oil and Gas exporter. I met a woman there that I am very interested in but have no idea of how to get there from the US. I live in the north east. I have looked for flights and such but have not had much luck. The airport code for Baku, Azerbaijan is GYD. I looked for flights from JFK to Baku on Amex Travel and found a number of them. Lufthansa has a daily that leaves from Frankfurt and Azerbaijan Airlines has a few that leave from Paris daily. I have been coming up with numbers like 2200.00 RT from JFK. I will look at Paris and see what I can find. I looked again on Amex Travel and found flights from JFK to Baku in May for $1481 Round trip. The flight I looked at is on British Airways. There is a all day layover in London.
