Presuming that she got my email address from this forum how many more of you guys have got this same email? Sorry Olga, My crystal ball hasn't been functioning recently and unless one logs in before making a post it is not something that becomes immediately apparent, nor was any announcement made by the forum administrators! That said, these organisations collect email addresses to save or forward on thus remains the fact that my email address was displayed on this forum for a year or more. Of the some 1000 spams my spam filter 'sorts' each week a high proportion of these are clearly FSU related so you go figure? Martin

I occasionally get these and have corresponded with some of them that sounded nice and have become friends with a couple of them. None of them have tried to scam me so far. I think they may be getting the emails from their friends or from some other service that collects them. The girls may be able to get service credit or something for supplying emails to some agencies. Not sure how they got my email, but I have had not problems with them trying to scam me.

i think spammers can get your email address from the contact list of someone else emails. Someone you have written to. it is just like viruses work: once they get into someone by an infected mail, it is send automatically forward to every address that the infected mail account has in the contact list. For this reason, it is good to add a contact to your list kind of: aaaaaaaa@aaaaaaa.com, wich will be listed ahead of the list. As it is fake, it will fail, and it may stop the process of the virus to keep sending emails to your list of contacts.
