I suppose you could use it as a security camera with your computer, but if you wish to communicate with someone using the camera I am fairly certain you must have an Internet connection...preferably high speed.
okay. i wanted to send a webcam to my woman. but i don't know if she has a high speed internet connection. i will ask her. i wish there was a way where you don't need an internet connection. but i guess u need one.
has anyone here used webcams with their women?
I use a webcam with MSN messenger to speak with Lena in Ukraine every Sunday morning. Her computer is not very fast so when I speak to her it is mostly garbled. I usually type what I want to say but she can speak to me whitout any problem.
My lady's best friend and I have webcam'd before but does your lady have her own PC as the webcam has to be installed on the PC and it not something to be done on an internet cafe PC.
You don't need a high speed connection, just the quality may be inferred if using dial up or whatever. I got my webcam on Ebay, they come from Hong Kong for about a dollar + postage, I had a little trouble installing it because the CD they provided wouldn't install it but email communications with Hong Kong were very good and we got it installed allbeit the hard way.
yes, my lady does have a computer in her house. But i dont know which internet she has. when i visit her sometime in the future, i want to bring a webcam and setup on her computer.
You can webcam via Yahoo or MSN messenger, just set yourself both up with a free Yahoo or MSN/Hotmail email account, download the messenger, free, onto the PC, configure the webcam to it and away you go.
