Hi, i just applied for fiance visa today and i gave all proofs i had for my british fiancee in UK to the embassy here in my country, and tomorrow i have to go for interview,i'm so so nervous and don't know what they will ask mostly as most of the people said they refuse cases because of complicated interviews the officer made.please let me know before i go/
thanks,
Teni
Teni,
They will not ask too many questions but they want to know that you know each other so they may ask you when his birthday is, his date of birth, in which city does he live, what is his profession, has he ever been married, your wedding plans, when, where etc.
Teni, do not try to remember brands of toothpaste, shampoo etc. It is an objective excersise. The British Embassy unlike their American counterparts only go by the facts, if you are honest and you love each other, they will give you a visa.

Are there any brits out there or british residents who has attend the us embassy in UK to do interview for the fiance visa, if so what document do they ask you to produce
Still trying to find out what documents you are required to take to the interview if you are in the UK and your american fiance is filing on your behalf.
I was told that they send a list of documents the UK fiance should take to the interview before they can get the fiance visa to go to the US to marry.
Are there any UK or american fiance out there who could enlighten us on the list
www.visajourney.com Will give you all the information you need. Also the USCIS website will help you with information that you will need. You will receive packets telling you what information you will need. You can go to the website and it will tell you what you will need. Also the American embassy in the country you live will also have information on what documents you need for the interview.
Very precise and informative reply. I check with the site and it did give information but I was hoping that someone who have been thru this process could give me a list of all the documents that they were required to take to the interview.
I am living in the UK and I was hoping that someone who lives in the uk could give me a list of the things they was asked to take to the interview.
Still hoping that there is someone out there who could give that list.
My fiance is in the UK, he received a packed from the US Embassy which asked for him to get a medical, Proof of Support, a letter stating if he has a police record.
Which is a pain! because he doesn't have one, and his local police station advised he had to fill out this form, that has now been sent to Scotland yard. We were just informed that it could take until July 22nd to hear from them.. Our Wedding is Aug 11th!! So we are very stressed.
I think there were some other papers he had to fill out regarding us as well. After you fill out your "check list" you then have to MAIL it to the Embassy who will schedule you an appointment for the interview.
I am using this firm for our fiancee visa application (they are affordable and have been very efficient):
