I am flying to Ukraine next week and am trying to get my Kiev to Simferopol connection made, I am flying into Kiev at 1:30 and the next flight to Simferopol is at 2:35 and 5:20, for those who have been there will I be able to make the 2:35 flight? My question includes will I need to go throught customs in Kiev or in Simferopol, how long to get luggage and how far to Aerosmit? I am asking for after flying about 15 hours I would like to get to Simferopol? Thanks for your patience and answers here
I think you will have a difficult time making the 2:35 flight. You will have to clear passport control in Kyiv after you deplane. Depending on how busy it is at the time you land it could take 10 min or I have taken 25 minutes when there have been a number of flights landing at the same time. Then you need to claim your luggage and clear customs. Again it all depends on how busy the airport is. If your flight to Simferopol flys out of Boryspil where you will be landing then all you need to do is, after clearing customs walk through the double doors, safely get throught the taxi driver gauntlet, the domestic terminal is just a short walk to the right of the international terminal. Make sure your ticket for Simferopol has Boryspil (KBP) and not Zhulyany (IEV).
Zhulyany is the other airport and is across town.
Garry,
I agree with Bill, I am taking a chance next week with a 1 hour 10 minute connection in Borispol but I'm arriving internationally on a CRJ 50ish seater jet thus a maximum of 50 at immigration and 50 bags to clear and I know exactly where I'm going, you won't have a hope in realistic hell in a lesser time and off a long-haul wide-body aircraft and do not plan that you will arrive at the scheduled time.
