Can anyone help me out with a few basics for Ukraine
1) Travelling from UK - do I need a visa?? Don't think I do but not 100% sure
2) Going to Kiev - then where? Pse suggest three of four places to call at. I like historic places......how do Odessa / Simferopol rank? Comments / suggestions
3) Thought I'd go the 'budget' route and note that there are a few 'youth' hostels in various places. They look OK. Any views?
4) Anyone recommend any 'budget' route worth considering. How much should I be paying?
5) Cheapest flight options to Kiev? flying from West Yorkshire
6) Should I book internal flights before I leave the UK or buy them when I get there. Does the cost vary?
.....would really appreciate any help
thanks
hoppy
Kiev is ok, a lot of history, can also go to Odessa and Crym, but may be not Simferopol but Yalta, there are a lot of interesting tours about Crym there.
I do not advice you to take youth hostels. So I di not know what you used to and what you like but it is not very good.
It is difficult to recommend the price fot tour, it depends ... you see... hotel, food, entertaiment, etc.
Ukraine is not very expensive country except Kiev but not cheap. If you would like good conditions you need to have money with you, not going with 500$ in your pocket.
