Dear members, First of all I want you to know that I'm seriously looking for a life-long-partner and I want to go for it. I'm not here to play. Reading the forum and corresponding with several ladies is quite time consuming. Ok, I am a VIP-member since one month and I have corresponded with about 10 girls of which 1 really would like to meet. She has written first and my reaction was: she looks Ok but without any real interest from my side. After 2 or 3 letters of her I printed out her pictures and together with her warm letters I got struck by lightning. In fact I already told her in my 2nd letter that I am here for something serious and deep and hoped to meet her and she seems to feel the same...but I realise it's only words. How must I proceed to find out that she's real or just an agency replying my letters? How can I pass her the message that I'm serious without being to pushy? What does a serious girl expect from a serious men in this stage of the correspondance? Is it to soon to send her flowers? The girl is from Odessa (Ukraine). Hi Kris, I think it would be a good idea to send her some flowers via an agency that does id verification (I believe this site offers this service as well). They'll deliver your order to her home address, verify her passport, take a picture, email the picture and a brief report to you. It is a low cost way to get some assurance that the girl is a real person and her id information is correct. Make sure you send an odd number of flowers because even numbers are perceived as bad luck in that country. Even with id verification, you're still not guaranteed that she's not a scammer, but hey you get some assurance and then it's up to your own judgment (it's about risk management, not total risk elimination). It's never too early to tell her that you plan to go see her. In fact, if she's serious, she would enjoy the idea. Women post their profiles on galleries not as a hobby. They're serious about finding someone and the sooner the better. So, if you like her, send the flowers first, get the feedback (picture, report), then tell her that you plan to visit her and see what she says. In the meantime, write her more about who you are, perhaps send more pictures from your everyday life, and kindly let her know she can do the same if she wishes. Also, try to talk to her on the phone and if possible have a phone conversation on a regular basis. Good luck.

First of all, for the most part woman are the same everywhere. You would not tell a woman you loved them or were serious about them on the second date? Think of correspondance as little dates. You are trying to get to know them and they you. Start with about 10 to 15 profiles and start to narrow the list as you get to know each other. If you are not interested have the decency to let them know. If you come off as a lonely and desperate guy them you will attract the scammers. And by the way, do not send money if you have not met in person. Some tips on making this a little easier. 1. If she has a personal computer then she will have a personal e-mail account. 2. If she can communicate somewhat in english then even better. 3. At some point you should try and learn some rudimentary Russian. This will help when you visit her. 4. Sending flowers is a good step to show her you are serious and can help you determine if she is a scammer. 5. Realize that this whole process will be expensive. Airline tickets, visas, hotels, etc.
