That is why fetishes can be so much fun! :) Part of the reason men love foreign women is because they are out of the ordinary (at least for the culture he is from). Exotic looks and/or exotic habits can be a fascinating thing for many people (male or female). It can also happen that if a person is hurt by those of the preferred sex at "home," he/she tends to look elsewhere. It is often a habit of escaping or running away from what hurts, but the instinct of fight or flight can be quite powerful. When one lets oneself feel the victim in said situation it causes bitterness and resentment. Sometimes one was the victim of the one's self, but often enough one was the victim of someone else. That is why it is better to be "just friends" before one becomes more closely aquainted. If a Russian bride makes a man happy and he is willing to work with her to make her happy, then why shouldn't he have a Russian bride? If women in one country run out of men, there are more men in the world that would be willing to marry a foreign wife from whatever country she is from. Not all women want material things (this goes for any country). Some of them are actually looking for a "soul mate" or someone they can see themselves living with for the rest of their lives, and haven't found one where they currently reside. And so the world gets smaller, LJ, with better communication and more efficient transportation.
