Ok, 17th letter, came today, and guess what?
She says she wants to come, here and she has talked to an office that says,
to come over here on a fiancee visa, she has to pay 329.00 to get this visa, proccessed in russia, and if she does it now, it won't take long. She
doesn't have the money, and asks if I will pay for it. She wants to
come as soon as possible. Now everything I read, says she will be waiting along time for this visa, and I would still have to come over, and meet her, and then it will still take forever. she can't just pop over here, so
either i think she's a scam. or she's been disinformed. I intend to tell her, That I will take care of all things on this end, and she needs to understand the process will take a while. Please tell me what you think?
I do not properly understand all the things about the various visa's myself.
Thank you, for any advice you give me.
She may scamming you..lol You have to file for her she doesent file and the filling fee for a Petition for Alien Fiance is only $110.00 and it will take 150 days top process here never mind the 3 to 4 months wait once it gets to moscow. If she really talked to an office they would have told her this. Since your email is bright.net I assume your frome the US. But before you can file anything you have to have proof of a meeting with photos. Then you have to show mutual consent. So dont send her the money. Tell her your comming first to meet her (not really) and see how she reponds. Make it sound for real like give her arrival time and flight numbers and the name of a hotel in her area (3 months from now) that will get you from the airport. Tell her you already filed for you letter of invitaion and are getting ready now to do the visa for you to come there. She what her response is? and the time is now to send her flowers and get her verified. It sounds suspicious to me. Any office that advises her on Visas knows you have to do it not her. Also they know well the time involved. plus 329.00 sounds like the cost of a round ticket for Egypt of Cyprus for a vacation for her that you would pay for. So test her with that see what she does You yourself can go to http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-129f.htm and download the Petition for Alien Fiance and read the instructions yourself and see whats involved. Ya. sounds like a scammer and you need to report her Olga so she can get her listed as a scammer. The local FBI in your area would be happy to know about her. If you suspect her like I do, then report her to the FBI first before you break off ties with her so thay have a better chance of nabbing her. you may want to call them ant tell them about it now and tell them what I suggested you do to test her to see if they want you do that. they may want top set her up. Good Luck, let me know what happens.
I agree that it can be one of the following-she's a scam or she's been disinformed. I also agree with codered'ssuggestion-the best way to check what she is up to is tell her about your visit.Just mention that for you it takes only two weeks to get a business visa, so next month you can be in Russia meeting her. And see what she says. So may be you'll even dont have to send flowers after her response( if any).
Also tell her that you know how the things with fiancee visa work and the information she gives you seems to be incorrect.By all means show her that you have all information, so that she could see there is no way she can play games with you.
I just wanted to tell you, how things our going. I did pretty much as you suggested, and I hit her hard with: If you apply for the visa you won't get it. I suggested july for a meeting, and told her I was starting the paperwork now. I asked for her to find a phone that she
could be by so I could call her. I also told her my lawyer said that i would need a picture of her by her apt, and one of her at work. her reply was to tell me to trust her, her friend worked at the visa agency. I replied by sending her my last letter again, and asking her to read it again. She replied by sendeing her last letter and telling me to read it. I replied by saying too late paperwork started, and she better be ready to have me visit in July. I got no reply.
Thanks for all your help and advice.

Most are well worth it.
Take Care and Good Luck!
i have hade friendly relations with more than one russian women. it is a really great place to meet beautifu girls. the story above sounds alot like the first girl i met. i'm 49 and she was 30 so to me it was very nice to have a girl younger than myself interested in me. she wrote to me first and as she was very nice looking, i could'nt resest to make a effert to become more than simply friends. after writing to eachother a while she wrote to me one day and said that her apartment had been broken into while she was at work and she wanted to know if i could send her some money to insert the key in the lock (whats that)? i wrote back and said i did'nt have any extra cash, i had just paid all my bills. anyway the next day she wrote back saying she really did'nt want to ask me for any money she just did'nt know who to turn to. after a few more letters she disappeared. recently she tried call me on the phone but i was not at home, she left a short message saying she would still like to meet me. what do i do now? i have a mailing address for her sould i write to her or not? i really like her and would hate to throw away our friendship. how can i find out more info about her? i also have some photos of her and i did check the black list, she is not there. please help in anyway that you can. thanks
If you're asking if she's a scammer, no one here can say for sure if she is or isn't. If you send her money, you do that at your own risk. If you want to write her then write her. If you want to meet her then meet her but make sure it's you going to see her in Russia and not her wanting money to come and see you. You're 49 yrs. old and should have some worldly wisdom by now. By the way, that story about the apartment being broken into has been used before by other scammers. The thing about the key in the lock was just some broken sentence created by a translating program or a person with a low level of English. Just remember to keep the lock on your wallet and the key in your pocket!
If you dont, you will vertainly regret it, and whatever you do DO NOT send her even $1 !!!
"I intend to tell her, That I will take care of all things on this end, and she needs to understand the process will take a while. Please tell me what you think?"
I think she will argue with you about this, she will try to talk you around and try to talk you into believing her, she will fein hurt and ask you if you trust her, as soon or soon after you try to tell her how it really is !!
This is a fact: There is NO way that Any woman, wil be allowed into the US or the UK on a fiance visa, unless you have been there and can prove you have met her already !! And its also unlikely that she will get that fiance visa if you have only been there to see her just the once, they will almost certainly want proof that it is a long term, ongoing, sincere and real realtionship, and emails back and forth on their ow are NOT enough.
The situation in Cyprus has changed Neon, they used to have a no visa required policy for the FSU, but it changed a while ago and now Cyprus is part of the EU too so things have really tightened up !!
"I was really tired, in court all day."
I guess by the fact you were able to post here tonight, that they didnt convict you then mate ? ;o))
"so that she could see there is no way she can play games with you."
I wouldnt even give her the benfit of the doubt personally, one request for such a huge amount of cash from a man she has never met would be enough to ring the most distant alarm bell in my cloisters !!!
If she doesnt argue with you, if she accepts that the info she had was wrong, if she goes all nice and stays in contact with you, for one I wil be very suprised, but secondly, in a few weeks time, there WILL be another request for money, because that is ALL this girl is after from you, and you can take that to the bank !!
Honestion:
Just because she is not on the black lists, doesnt make her legit, the fact she dissapeared when you didnt send money and stopped writing to you says everything you need to know !! She isnt sincere, she isnt honest, and you would be a fool to walk back into that mess with your eyes wide open !!
The apartment being broken into scam is another of the oldest in the book, Dale is right, dont send money, dont get suckered in !!
Like I got suckered in when I answered so many of the posts on this damn thread before I realised it was an antique resurected !!!
Oh well the advice is good, and still relevant to the new guys :o)
