The information I have found here has confirmed some of my suspicions and created concern in my about how I have been spending my time. I am certain this forum can help: I have never gone to Russia, or Eastern Europe. My only experience is with women I have met FROM Eastern Europe who are ALREADY students in the US. These ladies are attractive, and smart, and have responded well to me – what more could I want? So, I joined Anastasia; Eleanas Models; Russianlovematch; and Fiance. Lots of seemingly quality ladies! I “feel” that I have a unique connection with some, not with others … but the emails and pictures may only be good at “qualifying” possibilities – little more. So I keep an open mind. And then, I stumbled upon this Forum were my loose suspicious are confirmed!!!! May we have a SPECIFIC dialogue about Russian dating sites – the good and the bad? About the pros and cons associated with “agencies”? About how women from one country, or city, generally differ from another? I know exactly what you mean. I hope your Miss Wow is genuine. I also have not been here long, but am getting itchy feet and am thinking of making the short hop to Ukraine very soon. Of the girls that I have been in contact with, there are at least two who seem very genuine and that I am trying (without much success) not to let myself become too keen on. From reading other threads on here, I am trying to arm myself with as much of a backup plan as I can before I book up to go, in case they are not genuine, or we find that we simply do not match. I really don't know how honest they are or aren't so I'm not really recommending them, but there is some useful advice, especially in the 'blacklist' sections. My biggest concern is how heavily they seem to promote Elenas Models. Maybe Elenas is that great a site, or maybe they're getting a kick back from Elenas, I don't know, and I'm not accusing them. It's just a concern Maybe someone else has something to add about the veracity of these sites? I learned the hard way on this one. I was communicatinf with several ladies in preparation for my trip to Odessa in fewer than two weeks now. Anyway, one of them was shocked and appalled to find out I was communicating with more ladies than just her. She contacted all of the other ladies via a forum somewhere (not the standard ladies forum) and apparently told them all I was a cheating no-good guy and to not associate with me. Whatever she did seems to have been very effective because none of the other ladies respond to me anymore. Therefore I am having to start all over agsin. It is too bad too, I considered thost 5 ladies my friends. This particular site emphasizes video chat which probably is a good revenue stream - but it IS very useful ... as long as the women I am chatting with are not getting PAID for chatting with me!!! Also, a couple of careful generalizations: Traffic from the Ukraine seems "most approachable and innocent" And there is a lot of it! Traffic from Maldovia seems to be more high quality, REAL girls?!?!? Traffic from the rural areas of Russia are similar to Ukraine. Traffic from Moscow and St. Petersburg are more like western cities ... I worry I am being played. There is little representation from Prague, Romania, and others. I WONDER WHY??? Thanks! danny3777 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 9/15/2006 9:11:12 AM   easyworks, Coutries such as Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Poland etc. are all in the European Union thus these people can travel freely to meet foreign guys, they are not restricted to the borders of their home countries and forced to communicate by internet. Romania and Bulgaria join the EU on 01/01/2007 but even so these people can travel a lot easier, at the moment, than Russian/Ukrainian etc. people and even before they join the EU thus they are not restricted to the internet either. I have travelled to Romania 3 times in the last 4 or so months and I'm off there again in October, there are a lot of pretty ladies there but this dating agency lark is not common there, indeed almost non existent if at all, thus if you want to meet some ladies then the best way is to travel there. I haven't been going there for such a purpose I hasten to add, I have long term business in the city of Timisoara and that's my reason for travelling. freddybobs Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 9/15/2006 9:32:26 AM   In answer to easyworks, I suspect there are fewer girls advertising from Czech Republic and Romania because they are not part of FSU, which this site seems more targeted at, and also one is now a member of the European Union and the other will be in a few months. This allows much freer movement to the West if that is what they desire, and also certainly in the case of Prague, there is an enormous amount of Western tourism. Russia by comparison is very unlikely to have EU membership ever, and Ukraine may do one day, but not in the near future. One thing about location does make me curious. When I joined up, about a month ago, give or take, then I was receiving contacts from all over the FSU, fairly randomly scattered. As time has gone on, the focus seems to have narrowed towards the black sea - Mariupol, Melitopol, Crimea etc. I still see the occasional contact from Russia or Kiev or similar, but if I get contact from a new lady, I can take a reasonable guess that she is very near the Black Sea. Given the geographic coverage of this site, it seems unlikely that it is chance. Anyone else interested? danny3777 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 9/15/2006 10:57:57 AM   Easyworks, I love my time in Romania, in Timisoara a goof hotel can be 35 Euros a night, a 500ml beer in a 4 star hotel costs 1 Euro, on my last visit, at 4 star hotel prices, I paid (on my company expenses) for meals and a full evening's drinking and it came to 38 Euros. The people are very vert friendly and it is always a pleasure for me to go back there. Yes there certainly seems to be a distribution structure at work. Let us assume that this site has multiple and strong relations with Black Sea area. Doesn't that mean that another portal is more dominant in other areas? Talk about a place were convergence makes sense!?!?!?!? That is what OUGHT occur.
