Hi everybody!!!
I had a very bad experience with TEL3 company. Their card take off minutes from your account without you talking to anybody.
Unfortunatly when I realized it the card already took from my account (I had automatic recharge) 100$ !!!!
JUST to warning you: if you use tel3 check always the minutes left that you have available!!! otherways you will lose money like it happened to me!
Who uses a card with Tel3? I've used Tel3 advantage for over two years and no problem. Also under Tel3 advantage there is no automatic recharge. They've changed this to stop fraud. You have to call to recharge your account. With advantage there is no pin number to remember and it really helps with proving communication between you and your lady. You can access your account online and it's just like the telephone bill you receive from your local carrier. It shows the number call duration and date and time of the call. Forget cards, you have no proof of communcation. My wife still uses tel3 here now to call family and friends.
I also use http://www.telthreeadvantage.com for more than 3 years without problems. Good service, no tax,fee other charges. I connect all my phones (home,cell,work...) and no need to enter PIN. Everything online. Bonus on sign up.
I highly recommend that people AVOID Tel3. They still have automatic recharge, and they do not tell you about this until it is too late to stop the process. This happened to me tonight. I was trying to use up my minutes so I could cancel my account, because I have had many problems with poor sound quality and several numbers reached that I did not dial. During my conversation tonight, a voice warned me that I had $3 left and it would attempt an automatic recharge. Ten seconds later, they stole $25 from my account that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. If you call customer service, some friendly people in India will tell you that they have a strict no-refund policy and there's nothing they can do. If you cancel your account, you lose your minutes. DO NOT ENTRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!
HAY I HAVE BUY TEL 3 BUT AFTER WITH OUT ANY NOTICE THEY RECHARGE MY ACCOUNT 25$ DO NOT BUY A CARD AND A VERY VERY LOW SERVICE AND AUTOMATECALLY DROPPED CALL
I agree if they are taking your money without your authorization get a hold of your credit card company and tell them it is a fraud they will get all of your money back.
I know absolutely nothing regarding Tel 3, whoever they may be, however it is common that if one calls internationally and the telephone rings something like 6 or 8 times, and subsequently without answer, then the call becomes charged and without actually talking to anyone.
Yes I agree that all of the prepaid cards charge more minutes than you use. I used to buy cards from speedypin.com and I would manually log the minutes to try to find a card that charged minute for minute but could not find one. I complained to them and they gave me new cards even when I told them I got some minutes out of the first ones and did not want new dishonest cards just an honest one that I could buy. I even had an at&t card that was minute for minute in the states but as soon as I called the fsu it went wacko.
The only way I call over there now is with yahoo messenger. It costs 17 cents a minute to a cell phone in Ukraine and has a dialog box that shows when you are being charged and counts down the minutes in front of you. It does sometimes start charging you without being connected but if you end the call in 3 seconds it does not reduce your money reserve. It also is a click and call once you have the number in and you do not have to redial numbers 20 times trying to get through.
Tel3 has been a nightmare for me. I set up an account for a family member, specifying no automatic recharge, but they recharge by interrupting the call when the credit is low, asking if the caller wants to continue. Nowhere on their website do they tell you this. So the credit card owner has no control over the use of the credit card. They get authorization from the third party. I had thousands of dollars of calls, all of a sudden, charged to my credit card. I called Tel3 repeatedly to cancel my account, and I tried to do this online, but they blocked my account so I couldn't close it. When I asked my credit card to cancel their charges, Tel3 sent a letter so full of lies, saying that I never asked to cancel the account, and that they had offered me all sorts of ways to block the recharge on the phone, claiming that I refused to accept the very thing that I had requested. They convinced my credit card company, Capital One, to reject my claim. Absolutely dishonest. This is a company that could offer a good service, but they are fraudulent. Do not create an account for anyone but yourself. And check your credit card account activity every day. I finally had to cancel my credit card account to stop them.
