Do you they expect a guy to maintain correspondence for several years while they finish their studies.....and then.....decide whether or not to have a serious relationship with that man?
In my opinion, only those women who are ready NOW to correspond and want to have a romantic serious relationship NOW.....should advertise themselves.
There is a big thing in FSU that if one doesn't have a good education then they will never make it good. It could be that these ladies are merely letting the guy know that they are getting an education.
I met a guy on my last trip to Ukraine, he'd just met a lady and he hoped to begin the fiancee visa process within 2-3 months. No wonder the divorce rate is so high, chill out man, take your time, this is not a fast food scenario, thus if she is 22 or 23 already, and she may finish her education aged 25, and if she's worth waiting for then what's the problem?
Its very unlikely that an internet romance would last 2yrs and then develope into a successful relationship. At 22, if she is at all attractive, then no doubt there will be plenty of local guys taking her interested during that time. And when they are with her and you are not, then what will happen? Girls will be girls.
If you able to to travel often and spend much of the time with her, of course that could work.
The question has to be asked though. Why bother spending years finishing a degree in Russia that will not be recognized in your country? It would be better in every way if she did her studies in the Ststes.
It's true that in many countries you are considered a loser if you don't get higher education.
But again, these girls aren't corresponding for relationships, but for hand outs. Lugansk, for example, is a popular university town, with at least 5 universities. Each summer, these girls hit nearly all dating and romance websites to gather funds for their following year of study.
Adman,
Agree with some of what you say but education is not all about a piece of paper at the end of it, if you've learn it then you have the knowledge to carry forward.
If you have a degree you can do local bridging courses when she gets to your country. Usually adds 2 years but saves lots of dough if it is say a 5 year degree. My girlfriend is studying dentistry. In Kiev it is $1200 a year. In Australia its about $25,000 per year plus about $12,000 living expenses.
If she has already done a couple of years study may as well complete the degree and do the bridging course presuming you can maintain the relationship.
If what I think means anything, a girl attending a university is her life before you, let her continue
her course until the day comes when you have to make that important decision...where do we go now? In the
meantime relationships are a hit and miss thing...same as home. Just communicate with your lady and get a feel
for whether she is just stringing it out.
How much would a dentistry course cost for a countryman who earns £1 a year?
Do they not have an assessment authority? What do they need to do to bridge the gap to become an autralian qualified dentist? I mean how long? I am sure they are fed up of studying dentistry anyway by then and dont want to do another year. Dentists earn shit loads and it would be a worthwhile career, but who would want to be a dentist? I mean, borrrrinng. Last filling I had, I had in Latvia and the whole thing, including drilling out the decay cost me £20. Here in the UK it was going to cost me over £100. He did a great job too.
A bridging course is a certified course that allows you to practice that profession on completion. Basically ensures people from countries where education standards are not as strict demonstrate the required knowledge without doing the full course.
I guess BF if you want to earn $300k per year in Aus vs $20k in Ukraine then you do what is required.
