She could open a visa only in 1 month in her previous letter at the travel agency, but if i send her the visa money she can drive sooner than a month to poland or czech. She said she can write her address in the next letter and account. I have called her twice so she is real. has anyone else been asked to pay for the permit to travel and stuff? how did u get on? Some 'check' questions that spring to mind are that, according to the web link that I previously provided to BF, Poland and CZ have different entry rules but according to the lady a 1 month visa is no problem, as if they are the same rules for both countries, i.e. it is something that she has just made up. Many EU countries will insist that the individual attend an interview at the consulate, BF, stop being a lazy BF and expecting us to do the work for you, check, via the consulate website, or via telephone to a consulate, exactly what the procedures are for applying for and being granted a visa. What about the required return tickets and the sufficient funds that she must be in possession of? BF, nothing personal but you really are like an accident waiting to happen, you need to stand on your own two feet and find these things out from 'official' sources and stop asking for 'hearsay'. How much is she asking for? It cant be a whole lot of money for a visa. Just as easy to send her the money and see if she gets it than sending a bunch of flowers and getting someone to take a picture. Its basically option money and if it pays off a good reward is had and if not it wont break the bank. Best though to send the money to a travel agent organising the trip rather than her direct. The first rule in this game is "you never send money to anybody you have never met." That way you can never get scammed. Simple, no? Doesn't matter if she's askin' for 10 bucks or 10 thousand. If you are going there anyway it doesnt matter if you are making a special trip it becomes an expensive and disheartening exercise. I would spend $100 - 150 to eliminate a timewaster and discover if she is a scammer or is real. If that is a serious amount of money to you then you are the timewaster. Had written to a few girls and one from Lugansk wanted to meet me. She wanted me to go to Lugansk. Did I really want to spend 3 days in Lugansk when I could be in Kiev or Odessa. Not really. She finally agreed to come to Kiev if I sent her $200. I sent it, she didnt come. If she was serious she would have come. Maybe she had cold feet or maybe she was a scammer. Either way I dont lose any sleep about the $200 and met my current girlfriend in Kiev. I currently spend 4 months a year in Kiev with my girlfriend. I fail to see sending flowers and getting a picture is anymore certain then sending her money to enable her to travel to you. If she doesnt turn up have some backups or have a nice holiday but dont waste time worrying about whether you have been scammed out of $200.
