i am seroiusly considering cycling by bike to ukraine but i will fly to prague first then hire bike or maybe motorbike from there.
I think i will save a great deal of money this way and money saved i will be able to stay in nice hotels en route. Has anyone tried this method yet?
I am considering horse riding to Blagoveschensk, far east of Russian federation. If I leave tomorrow, I'll be there before new year's eve... 2007/2008. Has anyone tried?
I think you may encounter some problems on the borders of slovakia or Poland especially with border/passport controls there. Also have you considered that some roads are not up to the quality of many western european roads.By the way which airport are you flying from to Prague?
You could save even more money by cycling from say Amsterdam to Ukraine though obviously it would take you a lot longer.

This sounds like a great idea. Why dont you go by tandem then you can bring your potential bride back to england pillion style on the back of your bike.
Sure, you'll save if you are jobless, but who would want to see an unshaven, starved and stinking boredfuka arriving in Ukraine by bike? Also, might not wanna try this in January.
But bf is remaining true to himself. I'm sure that there are many girls that ride a bike or motorbike, and that's the sort of girl he would be compatible with.
I arrived on a bus from Estonia to Russia. If the girls aren't impressed then we are not compatible.
If your going to rent a motorbike, I would advise a good Husgvarna because is sounds like you havent traveled to many Ukrainian roads, also leathers would be recommended for the imminent road rash you will suffer from mutiple dumps you are going to take. I've road on some moto cross courses in my youth and they don't seem near as difficult as the roadways in some of the out areas for Ukraine.

could be a good idea. you could get a lady en route in Krakow Poland give her a good seeing to then cycle on to kiev get another women give her a good seeing to then you will be too shagged out to cycle any further.Get a good Triumph motor bike though then you will have some energy left to give your ukraine women a real good "ride".
One time I took a taxi from Ivanovo to Moscow. There was lots of traffic so my resourceful driver drove on the shoulder of the OPPOSITE side of the highway. I'm amazed we didn't all die, but if some poor soul had been unlucky enough to be bicycling at that time, he wouldn't not have.
