Uk guy marries Russian. They live in heavenly bliss in UK. Does she then become free to travel around the world with him on holidays, or is it not that simple? (The travelling part I mean,HA.)

Sorry, but I thought it was a perfectly civil question: can a Russian lady in uk travel freely once married and resident here?
Are you always so rude, negative and unfriendly to new members on this superb forum?
tringa,
The answer is that the lady would have UK rights but only within the UK. Internationally, she could only travel where her passport, which would be an FSU passport, will allow her to although applying for a visa, with UK rights, might prove easier than were she in FSU.
She could only travel as a UK national (and UK nationals cannot travel 'freely' as you put it, we too need to apply for travel to some countries) once she has a UK passport, how long will that take, well you need to enquire of the home office.
tringa,
as positively as I can. I am certainly not among the most experienced guys in this forum but I would wholeheartedly suggest to you:
- Write to more than just one lady. How can you be so confident that everything is gonna be alright with the only girl you are corresponding with now? What if something goes wrong? You will have to re-start the whole process from the beginning! At the very least, you risk an enormous waste of time.
- Meet the girl(s)!!!!! You still have a long way ahead before you need thinking about settling down, holidays and so on.
What is your next topic......how do you get visa for FSU ladies?
It is nice to have info....but it means more to you IF you were in a situation
where it would mean something to you...in 3-4 months you will forget and ask for help again.
I value the input from those in this forum who have experiences to share. It is hard to answer
general questions when there are so many if's and maybe's to get the right answer. Martin is
very knowledgeable and has helped me.
PS- If you end up with a UK girl everyone here will **** you.
tringa, just as martin said, she only can only travel on a russian passport she doesn't get any special status because she is married to a UK resident unless she of course she has a UK passport in which case she has the same status as any UK citizen.
boredfukka, no she doesn't. She has to wait 2 years and then pass a citizenship test
