This may seem like an ironic follow-up to my post about a woman who asked me for a gift. A few weeks ago I asked a woman with whom I've been corresponding to send me her address so that I could send her a small New Year present. She declined, saying that she would rather wait until we know each other better. Since then, we've continued exchanging emails every couple of days. Two days ago, I told her that if she'd give me her address, I'd send her a T-shirt. I had sent her a photo from an event I'd sponsored where everyone was wearing the shirts, and I mentioned that I had a few left over and would be happy to send her one. Again, she declined. Declining the offer of a New Year gift struck me as an act of politeness, but declining this T-shirt strikes me as a bit pointless. Here is the direct quote: "[A]gain I wish to thank you for your true & sincere wish to send me something, but let put it off for now, ok? I highly appreciate and respect your wish to make me happy but...Please, forgive me, I feel that I upset you but I prefer to be frank with you. My sincere apologies..." I can think of a few legitimate reasons why she wouldn't want me to send her anything (i.e., she doesn't what her mother and brothers to know she's corresponding with a foreign man), but it does strike me as odd. The T-shirt doesn't seem like the type of thing she should feel guilty about receiving or worry about paying a duty tax to receive. Any thoughts or input on this issue are welcome. I don't know if this is relevant, but she's with an agency email.

Why do you guys send stuff to women? Are you trying to buy your way in? Guess what happens when you meet, lets go shopping!!!! Have you guys ever met a girl at home and she does not accept gifts in the beginning, some girls are raised to not accept gifts from someone they do not know well. I've been writing to girls for over 6 months and not even thought of sending a gift, unless now after 6 months a birthday is coming up. Fallguy.....no means no...sounds like she was trying to say no in a nice way.Read between the lines.

An interesting situation but strange. It's strange that she would refuse gifts. I wish my son was that way too.

You have to spoil em beemer i do all gifts family every birthday each member always i got nothing else to do with my $$$ and yes i leave in 13 hours for russia iam taking 13k usd i hope i sencearly hope i come home with nothing -------i mean that is the excercise yes !! thats the point of it all mate live as riley !! and take them down the street with you --reason i do is for self satisfaction and they deserve it / apprieciate it -no self centred western ''dragon would apprieciate it ay . Yeah, beemer18, I'm trying to buy my way into a woman's heart with a T-shirt from an athletic competition. Give me a break. This woman and I frequently exchange lengthy emails where we discuss our live, hopes, dreams, etc; so she's not blowing me off. But it concerns me that she'd make such a hard stand against me sending her a shirt. It makes me think there's more to it than she's letting on.

Fall guy, I did not only mean just the t-shirt,it was the sense I got from your description. Why question her motives, see what happens. I would like it if my girls politely refused a gift unless our relationship was well developed then it would be a problem. You did not say how long your correspondence was. If you have been in this process for a long time you would see all the problems of girls using guys to get freebees. Good Luck! MikeOO If you want to give money freely to any women, go for it, my problem is that some women expect it because guys are giving openly. Spoiling a women is not good cause if your not loaded she will move on to the next sugar daddy. I would rather spend on a women that would appreciate it

Fall Guy I wouldnt be too conserned about getting her address at the moment. You will need to get her phone number and details, before you think about getting on a plane though.

Fall Guy, it is polite to personally present your gift to a lady from this region.They do not like to have gifts or flowers sent.They like to be presented them by the person themselves.I know it is hard to deliver flowers in person to another country,but a gift should be given to her when you see her again.It is just a cultural difference.
