I used one of those apartments in July 2005. It was nice by Ukraine standards. Close to the main street, I think it was Karl Marx or something like that. apartments are cheaper than hotels but you got to make your own bed. I went in the summer so the beach near the river was full of nice looking women. In the winter it is probably desolate. I actually spent half my stay in Ukraine in Crimea.
