Yes, The middle is actually the majority of people but everyone strives for the upperclass. I am in the middle and i'm satisfied with my life now. I have no desire to be as rich as the next person. I just want to have a life where family is the thing that matters most.
Pitchka,
Striving for the opportunity to express one's own individuality is something much more appreciated in countries like yours, becasue you have been deprived of it for many long ruthless years.
In the US for instance, that right is taken for granted, because people here have never longed for it....
Not all women look, dress or act the same, Pitchka.
But the common denominator you can find from most of us here is that we are MEN looking for an ideal partner...and we simply do not like what our country women have become over the last 30 years of taking freedom from granted.
Most american women may want the very same things most FSU women want out of life: marriage, babies, financial security, a garden to plant roses, good weather, etc etc etc...
Unfortunately what they offer us, the men with whom they want to achieve these things with, is not good enough for us.
Thank you Toad!!! I realize that it's not good to generalize, and I realize that there are different women:) Be sure in that:)
No I see, I don't think it's good to take the freedom for granted, it may be and it may disapear the very next moment...and this is what really maybe scaring...
Chances of losing the vast majority of the freedoms western people have grown accustomed to enjoy are very slim, Pitchka..
The spoiling is so severe in the west that most people have forgotten to be grateful for being able to open their eyes in the morning and to enjoy the fact that everyday above ground is indeed a good day...:))
May I draw attention to the fact that Greece - the country that gave us the word Democracy - has had two periods of dictatorship after WW2.
(one left-wing and one right-wing).
Greece has also given us the word P O L I T I C I A N , derived from POLITIC...POLI=many and TIC=blood sucking insects...
Nobody gives a damn about Greece, donkeybrain...except the greeks, of course...
The last three posts refer to how the concepts and exercise of freedoms are perceived and handled in FSU and US, respectively.....who gives a flying coitus what ancient Greek history left us in the vocabulary?
Please stop your diarrhea of the mouth once and for all.
As American women go I would take Ann Coulter anyday. At least she's honest and has a clue in life. I think the traditional families we had in the 50's are gone here, but Russian and european women in the majority still hold traditional family values that have left us here in the states. The feminist movement in the states did a great injustice to decent American women and they are paying the price today.
You spend too much time paying attention to the liberal media. Just like most of the women in the states do! Also they are not your jobs, you live in Germany. I've always believed where there is
difficulty lies opportunity. So real american men don't spend time whinning about the jobs going overseas. We adapt and improvise and improve out situation. As far as influence goes, I'm all for staying out of other countries, but what happens is some countries are getting there ass kicked, or in a shitty situation and no one wants to help them, they come begging to the United States to solve their problems. If I had my way, we would kick the UN out of the United States and take our money out of the IMF and tell the whole world to kiss our ass. So as far as this man is concerned I'm glad your in Germany, I just wish you could take most of the like minded women in the United States with you.
eeyore or eyesore as I will now refer to you. You probably think the United States is a democracy. If you do you are gravely mistaken. Only in a democracy can someone like Adolph Hitler come into power. It's not possible in the States because we are a Republic. That is the problem in the States now, the media has convinced a lot of people that we are a democracy and had shed it's socialist and communist influence in our country. So I don't need a Greek History lesson. Maybe you should read up on Dionysus, he may help you find a woman. Plus freedom cannot disappear unless you let it be taken away with you and if you let that happen you don't deserve freedom. In dictatorships people trade their freedom for security. When you do that you deserve neither. If I have to fight and die for freedom I will, that's the example of a free man. The right to choose to die for his freedom and the freedom of generations to come.
I assume you are ready to fight for other people's rights.
?
Yes/No?
Now, think of this: The Nazis were not stupid (after all they were educated in a culture well respected in Europe).
And, there is no reason why the next group who wants absolute power should not have studied History!
Quote:
"In Germany, the Nazis came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I was a Protestant so I didn't speak up. Then they came for me.... By that time there was no one to speak up for anyone.
nasfan6, I think I'd go with either Ann Cuolter or Laura Ingham and I'm kind of leaning toward Laura, today.LOL!!
Yes I think the UN has had its day, time to leave!
If it is truly a right, then it is not "other people's rights". In this specific regard, I would limit this discussion to "government" violation of rights, since how you address violation of rights by other individuals is really a different issue.
If a government violates the rights of one person, they violate the rights of all. Your quote is a clear indicator of the reason why.
Nasfan, Patrick Henry is perfect example of what you discuss. By the way, "The Creature from Jekyll Island" was a good book. I knew about half of it already. The remaining part was VERY disturbing!
If anyone wants to continue this, I would suggest we take it to a different forum. It's on the edge of being relevent to this forum.
Although Olga already sent the donkeyman to the glue factory i will post one more time just for the morbid pleasure of removing Eeyore's name from the main forum list, lol...
By the way, I have refused to attend and for the most part even watch any of the corruptly managed olympic games since 1984 (Los Angeles)
And I watch only 2 events in the Olympic Games, the ceremony of opening, and the ceremony of closing the Olympic Games...and between these 2 events, I'm so bored, because all the TV channels, show the events on Olympic Games, though this year it won't be a problem for me, first I almost stopped watching TV, second I don't have a TV-set, only when I visit my parents we watch TV during dinner:)
Donkey,
Freedom is nothing else but the right to live as we wish (Epictetus). Or the way I would say it, freedom is nothing else but the right to die as we wish. I would die fighting for what I believe in; thus my freedom could and will never be taken away from me. So please donkey, don’t include me in your group of obedient wussies. You are the perfect example of what Milgram was talking about in his experiment in authority. You are a sorry excuse for a human being...Were you castrated as a child?
Getting back to American women....
Words American women use,
FINE
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you
need to shut up.
FIVE MINUTES
If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour. Five minutes is only five
minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before
helping around the house.
NOTHING
This is the calm before the storm. This means "something," and you should
be on your toes. Arguments that begin with 'Nothing' usually end in "Fine"
GO AHEAD
This is a dare, not permission. Don't do it.
LOUD SIGH
This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood
by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she
is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing"
THAT'S OKAY
This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man.
"That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding
how and when you will pay for your mistake.
THANKS
A woman is thanking you. Do not question it or faint. Just say you're
welcome.
Oh man... this is funny. This sounds more like people trying to come up with reasons they failed with US women. If you let someone walk all over you then you are getting what you asked for. If more people thought with their brains and less with their genitals then maybe they'd make better choices in partners. Women are women. You can't blame the country they are from for your choosing poorly. I have had plenty of really good relationships with local women (US) that were nothing like the women you guys are describing. It comes down to being a good listener and being very observant. It's not too hard to spot the keepers and the ones you have to cut loose if you don't let your lust dictate your choices. It kinda sickens me when I see someone in here say "she's not the best looking" when describing the "lucky" Russian woman they have chosen. It sounds so demeaning and disrespectful. Do you think the woman they are choosing would appreciate being referred to in such a way? They sound like they got stuck with the consolation prize or a nice parting gift. I always feel sorry for the poor girl they are talking about. She is stuck with a real winner. Call me old fashioned but shouldn’t you feel that the woman you choose to marry is the most beautiful woman in the world inside and out? I shake my head and wonder about some of the people in here sometimes. I will no doubt get slammed for saying this but what the hell…
Well Groony, I'm glad your ready to get slammed ........it's something we all get from time to time. But I'm afraid that I only agree with you on one point and that is ....."If more people thought with their brains and less with their genitals then maybe they'd make better choices in partners" ........... I believe that this mistake has allowed most American women to become the evil carpetbaggers that they are. You see guys these days will do anything or say anything or become anything if they think that will get them into a womans pants. If enough "men" act this way they esentially give away their power to the women of the country and become servants. When this happens, women lose respect for men and the cycle continues. THe few noble women left do not want men like this. They want a man who will not do anything for sex. With priciples, someone that she can trust to make decisions for the right reasons. .....So if you think about it, it is the mans fault that the women here became what they are today........
Now as far as blasting you, I lost the urge because it took me so long to write the above. I do think that you are being too sensitive criticizing guys who say their girls are not the best looking. That is guy speak for "out of all those pretty women, the best one turned out to be mine." And if you can't see this then you have possibly been femminized your self........
