If you consider the matter for a moment, there is obviously, the other half of this website. It is NOT fiance.ru. It's naidimuzha.ru.
They have a russian language forum over there for the ladies. Makes for some very interesting reading. .... smile .... there is a long series of threads where they are trash talking us men, including mentioning many by name. Some have been labeled "sex tourists," "crazy," "Casanova's," and "no shows."
There were one or two I saw mentioned who are now known to be "good in bed."
Oh, and by the way, there is also a list over there of the men who'll send money. Particular note is given to those who send regularly !
Guess what! I have had girls get on this forum, read posts of us guys and if you give too much information, they WILL be able to tell who you really are. This happened to me...just saying something as a joke and I was called out on it. I tried to explain that everything here is not necessarily that absolute truth....where is that Bible!
I got to check it out....is it first names???
I know for sure that a lady I was writing to dumped me because she read my posts here, was able to tell who I am and didn't like to learn that I was writing to several other girls. She actually made kinda Gestapo investigation. She was able to tell who I am only recently, then she read my old posts and found out my "crime".
It is very interesting to read the other forum - if you don't speka Russian (and I don't) it can be accessed by simply typing "naidimuzha.ru" and "forum" and then doing a Google search.
Google will even ask you if you want the page translated, and of course you do. You can just read to your hearts content after that. Not the greatest translations to be sure, but the point gets across.
Some years ago I did the exact same thing - and I swear that the subject matter has changed since then. There was less of the sexual comparison, and direct identification of guys and more questions regarding leaving the homeland and whether or not it was difficult to adapt to a whole new world.
Appears Russian women in the forum have gotten very worldly very quickly. Before believing the letters that they send you - read what they are REALLY thinking here.
It depends on the software you're using. None of them is perfect. Add to that, that Russians seem to compose their thoughts, or shall I say, construct their sentences somewhat differently. What bothers me most is the lack of gender specific personal pronouns. There is no "He" or "She" ... only "It" used for both masculine and feminine. Drives me crazy.
But experience suggests that after you've spent a few hours struggling through trying to read the translations, you get the hang of it; perhaps not every word, but certainly the context.
