I have to say that I hope you are wrong about all these women I have been on here for getting on for three years now and I have finally decided it is time for me to make the trip to Kharkov, I am not going to see a whole host of women, just the one in fact.
The scammers are, I find quite easy to spot and the ones that are just after money are to, you just have to ask the right questions early on and you can soon see. Having said all of that if it turns out to be a con or something else, then I just move on and spend the rest of my time there taking in the city.
Having read this forum for some time now I think I am aware of most of the pitfalls, so should everyone that goes, so if you get caught it's your own fault for not taking the time to investigate.
If I get caught now I will blame you lot.
Nasfan, in relation to English lessons, I don't know how it works where you come from, but in Australia, all new non-english speaking/poor english speaking migrants who arrive on our shores, get 500 hours of class room time with a specialist English teacher to learn to speak/read/write English all for free courtesy of our Government.
To learn English in and English speaking country in an English speaking enviroment to practise it is the best tuition, especially when it is provided for free.
No Australian who immigrates any foreign fiance who either can't or speaks poor English needs to be pay for English language lessons in her home country..it is not a requirement of the fiance visa for Australia.
The English language lessons are provided as evening lessons in many local high schools here and is readily accessible for all new migrants who can't speak English or want to improve there English language.
I don't think its good to pay for English language lessons in her home country e.g Ukraine, Russia etc.
I have heard of scamming rorts by these girls where they claim English lessons cost $10 an hour in Ukraine which is total crap or I need $200 for a 2 month English course which is also total crap and a scam for money!
For Australians or people from other Western countries whose Governments provide English lessons for migrants, don't pay for English language lessons in her home country because in mosts cases it is a rip off and a scam.
StMac wrote about a thing I have also experienced. Not that way he did but I have figured out that ukrainian women are very materialistic (I'm not saying all of them). Even more than russians. I have been in contact with both via internet and I have also met few of them. There has always coming something between ukrainian women and me. Not a long a go, one visited me. when we were in contact with her couple of months befoe we met, she was so sure about loving me. She didn't even believe that we should first meet. And when we met, she figured out that I wasn't the right one. One reason was that I don't have a high position in hierarchy and I'm not wealthy. After she went back home, it didn't take long when she met a new guy from internet. She even lied to me that she met a local one, but then I visited a site where i saw their pics. So why to lie me? ALthough she told me she was ready to be friends.
Also that's a fact that in Baltic-countries they are not so interested in foreign-men. I have tried. And their economical situation is much better. And i like russian women more than ukrainian, generally. Anyway I guess I will stick in girls from my country because they take me as I am in the end. Who really loves me, loves me, and not because of wealthiness...
Nothing is for free. Not even where I come from. Paying for a womans english lesson is far froma scam. That's the problem with you guys and I think why you run into so much trouble. You're looking for a scam around each corner. When you're already set in the negative mode, all you will find is negativity, I think it blurs your thought right from the get go. Hell it didn't take long for me in writing a woman to figure our she was full of shit. Hell you guys worry about scams and the biggest scam perpetrated on you is that english lessons in your country is free. Really? You worry about women scamming you and your government scams you worse than any woman ever could do. Don't tell me you can't do anything about it.
You've heard about a lot of scamming. Did you experience personally? I don't want to hear what you've heard, I want to hear what you know. I've heard that there is gold at the end of a rainbow. Doesn't make it so. The guys that get scammed usually want something for free, something the easy way, not willing to pay what is necessary.English lessons that are free are about worthless and anything that the government is involved in you know it won't be top shelf. That's a fact of life. English lessons in Ukraine will cost you about 40 to 60 dollars a month from a good qualified English teacher. That's a fact. You pay anymore you're getting ripped off. The benefits achieved from your lady learning english and also in our case learning to drive before she arrived in the states, was worth the price. We have very similar driving laws in the states as in Ukraine and drive on the same side of the road. It doesn't work in all cases, but being prepared up front is better than waiting and dealing with the frustration later.
Govermant down, let's make a revolution..!!! =D C'mon, just let the politics be... I guess many of us just told the experiences. And I wasn't scammed in the traditional way, but I told about the attitude most women IN internet have from some countries.
For those wanting to avoid being scammed the choice is easy. Dont bother looking for a foreign bride. If being scammed is going to be a burden dont bother looking for a foreign bride. If you can think rationally and dont spend more money than is worry for you then go for it.
I have spent money on women who tuned out to be a waste of time. Ive spent money on women I didnt get to meet. I dont ever worry about it, you could spend more on a fancy night out in most of these circumstances. It certainly told more about the women and stopped me wasting time and effort on unproductive relationships.
If you send money for that imaginary visa or on the ill father who needs $1,000 for a new kidney then you need a lot of help.
If you are worried about the cost of some English lessons or a mobile phone for someone who may be the one then you are cheap and unworthy even if you do get scammed.
Gemini I would have to agree with you whole heartedly with the caveat that I would have to have met them first. If you're going to try to do this adventure on the cheap, then forget about it before you spend the first dollar, it will be a dollar well saved.
My observation is one that we all have biases. Maybe I have the same feeling about Russian women, but that doesn't make it the truth. I've written both in my past.
Also, if you think Baltic women don't put value on the almighty buck, you need to go back and read some of Annika77's post, how she ridiculed some men here how, her Brit boyfriend made so much money an some others were paid so poorly. You might have missed that one a little bit also. I think when we broadbrush the values of an entire country or race as being bad, and compelling the values of another we do both a great injustice. The experiences we share here are a small pittance of what actual reality is.

THEY WERE NOT THAT SCAMMED AND AS SAY ABOUT IT ON EVERY CORNER.
2/ Guys what are you talking about?? You want my experience???????
Normal men will send money to girl he likes without BEING ASKED.
You won't die from lacking 200-300$$ to make somebody happy.
Why not? What's wrong with that?
If I have free money in my hand I'm ready to give without asking and I give to those who are in need more that me.
Money are money, they are not value, but value is what people can get for them.
If money make smb's life easier, why not to give sometimes?????
BASTARS ARE THOSE WHO COUNT EVERY THEIR FUCKIG PENCE>
'You won't die from lacking 200-300$$ to make somebody happy.

You do not understand men!! This is truely a statement from a women's perspective. I have met several girls with this attitude. Nice expensive dinners, taxi's just to go around the corner, shopping sprees...all to make her happy but what about making the GUY happy. You think a nice kiss on cheeck or just being able to walk next to girl???? I don't expect to get laid but don't expect to be catered to either. I know all girls are not like this, I have met some that are down to earth but I question the intentions of some girls.
