No girls are wearing their fancy boots. What gives? Legs don't quite have that toning effect. All I see is regular heels now. Why do they even ask the question about whether a girls smokes or not...they ALL smoke. They just say I can stop whenever I want or just feel a little nervous. Yea, right. I got pulled the 'drop-the-money and cop comes by quickly' scheme. I was surprised at first because of my honesty. But I waited a second and told the supposed cop..in my best Russian, 'lets go to police station', he quickly shut up and I told all 3 guys to f**k off you arseholes. Watch out nebees!!!! Guys always have plan A and their back up plans but I needed plan C. Got to have extras just in case. First time using an agency for a girl. Highway robbery. Luckily found a nice girl and have spent several nice evenings. I have come to conclusion, you have to speak the same language as girl, interpreters get in the way. I am learning russian for that reason. Why let your possible match fall threw the cracks? Many guys don't choose a girl based on English skills , so they are in less demand. My feeling! Second they dropped the money in front of me in a plastic bag and I was just about to kick it onto a busy street when the partner jumped on it! Usually the boots go into hibernation this time of the year and the high heels with straps up to knees come out. I brought a few pair and wore them - but it caused me to stick out like a sore thumb. On another trip about a year later - my then-fiance and I tried to find them in the market - what we found was NOTHING like jeans worn in the west. But two weeks ago EVERY girl in Donetsk, it seemed, was wearing jeans. And while I still saw quite a few of the fancy boots with heels - they were a lot less common than they were four years ago in Odessa. Fashion changes in Ukraine VERY quickly. In five years Eastern Europeans will be wearing styles no different than those of Western Europeans. To Moscow! Just three weeks ago I spoke to a lovely translator who was working with a number of us "foreign guys". When asked if she or her friends would be interested in meeting a guy from another country she told us flat out that "No my friends and I have no interest in meeting a foreign guy." She said "We have pretty boys here, why do we need one from another country?" If you want to get right down to it - most FSU women would prefer to meet a guy perhaps three to five years older than they are, who lives in their FSU country, who has a good stable fiancial situation and who doesn't expect them to leave the homeland. That's all fine and dandy - but not much interest to those of us on this fourm. FORTUNATELY - there ARE those who want a foreign guy, an older guy and there are those willing to leave their countries to as well. They are NOT the "usual girls" and their desire IS considered by most to be "different". But those are the ladies we are looking for. Who are the rest of us to criticise? There is no money back gaurantee in life. If I find real compatiblity with a woman 20-25 years younger, could it really be any more of a risk?
