In five trips to Ukraine (4 to Kiev and 1 to Odessa), I've used the internet to make arrangements with three different apartment rental agencies. The people at Kievhotelservice.com provided the best service and apartments. The shoddy service from Ukrainefare.com is a perfect example of why Ukraine is solidly entrenched in third world status (and proud of it, to judge by this company's performance). What other agencies should be bragged on or shunned?

Was it Odessa or Kiev you stayed in when you booked with ukrainefare ? intrested to know the problems you had with them and what there prices were like compared to the others ?

Badbill, I used that 'shoddy' service several times but have not had problems as you had..both in Odessa and several times in Kiev. I have even got an apt in one day( 2 hours), when I was stuck in airport. There were times I may have been unhappy about small shit, and one apt I was not happy with, they found me another but overall have not had problems. Prices are rather comparative...even a tad lower. I still think you get what you pay for!!! Chris, how are you doing? Next time I am in Crimea, I'll have to look you up. Thanks for trying to arrange transportation when I was in Odessa couple months ago!

Hi Beemer, I am fine, its just too hot here at the moment, its normally only like this in August, but not complaing too much, just dont have enough free time to enjoy it,starting to get busy in the bars and clubs now ,

I have seen a guy from Ukrainefare.com meeting visitors several times at Borispol Airport and once when they were organizing tickets for one guy... also at the airport, so I can tell for sure that they have a lot of business. 'badbilldouglas' why have you decided to promote Kievhotelservice.com? I think that's a kind of advertisement :)

I am looking to rent a house in Kiev for 6 days. A very luxuiouse one with a swimming pool. I can pay upto $1,000 a night. Any suggestions. I preffer a nice house with a pool, but if houses with pools do not exist, then a very luxurious apartment, but I mean very luxurious.

I came accross Odessaapts.com when planning my trip to Odessa. I have found Julia, who I have been dealing with, quite helpful. Although one needs to pay attention to the final bill when I pointed out her mathimatical errors there were quickly corrected. I was met at the airport and transported to the apartment, which made arrival in an unknown city quite stress free. The apartment is quite nice and it even comes with high speed internet. In the few hours I have been in Odessa I am quite impressed with the city and am happy to have a comfortable place to stay right in the city center. Their website is also quite helpful with tips and places to see around Odessa. All in all I would certainly suggest this agency to anyone looking to visit Odessa.
