WS previously criticised the formula half your age plus seven years. Now some women in the FSU believe that this is the starting age of women you should be looking at. Others believe that this is the PERFECT age of your partner.
The point is, even if you think this formula is ridiculous, many Eastern European women believe in it so you need to respect it.
So let's say a guy is 50. Half his age is 25 plus 7 years = 32. So he should be looking at women 32+ in his search.
The formula in itself is not bad. Personally I just say no more than a 10-15 year age difference.
"woman 35 with man 50 is ok. woman 20 with man 35 is not"
This was also said in the "Russian Bride Guide". The inference is that as you get older, the age difference becomes more "acceptable". So when I am in my 90s, it is OK for me to marry someone more than 20 years younger.
Since the men mature later than women, the traditional approach to age difference is for a man to be 10-20% older than a woman. But International dating, which brings up many cultural differences, changes this approach.
"Since the men mature later than women.." Says who? Men, on average, die younger than women, so are you implying that man are "mature" for fewer years in the lifespan?
MartinPC - That is fine with me. My grandfather and uncle both married wives who were 30+ years younger than they were.
Here is an article about two Latvian women who were assaulted in UK.
