Another reason is maybe a warning, because when I was in Odessa, I saw quite a few guys trying for the girls an agency translator pointed out "those girls are the ones who only want a very rich husband...". Felt sorry for quite a few guys - they seemed nice and really head over heels for these girls. Since these girls profiles are still on the Internet, I can easily say that they came back with no luck. Don't get me wrong, I have met a few girls that were not materialistic, They were cute, but more homely looking. I have seen very hot and sexy US girls who were not as materialistic as their FSU counterparts. I was told by the other FSU girls that gold-diggers are very common in the bigger cities of Ukraine. A lot of them have dreams of wealth and since they can not achieve wealth on their own, they have no choice but to try and marry into it. Divorce is their escape when it is more than they want to handle, but they all know about divorce settlements and prenuptual agreements. My story: I wrote a girl who I thought was the sweetest and cutest girl I could find on the Internet. I flew to Odesa just to meet this one girl. Unfortunately, I found out she was a serious gold-digger. This happened after I mentioned I was not a millionaire, on our 3rd meeting. I told her I made a very good living (by US standards), but her normally sweeet attitude towards me changed dramatically. She wanted very rich, not just nice middle class rich. She wanted a prince with the annual income to match. All this from the one girl I wrote to for 7 months. It was confirmed by her agency that I was the only one she wrote to as well. A romantic tale was torn to shreds by a missing digit in my annual income (6 figure income, not 7). The agency translator later confirmed the facts that I was right. It was also confirmed that the girl was insincere in all her letters - just for a chance to try to nab a nice-looking millionaire. I have also seen girls who will go out with many guys because of the nice dinners and chances to get free gifts - even though they are not interested in the man. It is very common in the big cities I hear. That's why I rarely talk to a girl that has been in an agency for more than a few months, let alone several years (very big red flag). I met other very sweet and sincere girls, but I wasn't attracted unfortunately. To this day the golden girl I met is still in the agencies looking for her young, handsome millionaire to romance her and take her away to live in Paris (her words on her preferred city to live). What are some of your experiences with the gold-diggers of FSU? I'm sure that the new guys can learn some good lessons and keep their pocket books intact. I wrote to a girl for 6 months, went to see her in Russia, only to discover that I had actually been talking to her translator and not her. Apparently, one of the translators at the agency took a fancy to me and intercepted many of my letters or rewrote them or edited them. That's just life. You live and your learn. Like anything else, keep your eyes open and think with your head and not your heart until you meet. Make up sex is awesome with that type of woman. :) I met millionaires who are so tight you would think they make less than $20k a year. A lot of their money is always tied up anyways and cash seems to be a problem with some of them. :-/ Fiesty? Equal experiences with both FSU and Latin American girls I met -- gets worse when they are gold-diggers. A girl can become more humble by life experiences and lower her expectations in time. But only if you're a really good looking guy and offer her a lot of passion and/or romance. A lack of big wallet size can be made up for by packing more in other areas. lol! At least in my personal experiences. ;-)))) I offer true love - I do not ever want my future wife to be attracted to just my wallet, but she can be attracted to a lot more. One can make money - if one has an aptitude for it. Call me old fashioned but I prefer true love over all other things. Being a bitch to the one you "love" and being fiesty aren't necessarily the same in my experiences. Fiesty can just be that she doesn't tolerate submission and being ordered around like a doll. Passive agressive behavior and keeping that anger hidden leads to all sorts of mental health and physical problems in people. Get it out - and then leave it behind once its dealt with is much better for me. At least you know what the other is thinking. Sometimes getting someone angry is the only way you can get someone to tell you what's really on their mind. Others do abuse it though, so I feel for the guy who's spouse gets under his skin... apparently she isn't happy and she's letting you know it. But maybe she's connected to you because she can't leave you because of kids or her belief system. I'd hate ending up like that -- I'd much rather be on my own.
