I do think this is true and as I understand it, visas are all received and processed in the same manner no matter who sends it in. Also, the CIS website says California is at about 6 mos. in processing the K1 visa. Others have told me that 90-100 days is more accurate. The only thing that will make a visa go faster is if you do not make any mistakes with the application, you attach copies of everything, and check everything again and again. All you have to do is like Cycleserg said. Get your paperwork right and you be ok. Visajourney even has sample forms to follow. Any questions just ask. Ditto to the above, you don't need a lawyer.
