For a start being from a different culture, a FSU women from Russia etc. is going to think differently than a man from the West such as USA,Canada, Australia etc. and have different attitudes about life issues. There is definitely going to be a difference of temperament between a FSU women and a Western man as there is very much a difference of temperament between myself and Indian ex-wife. Such issues can make forming and keeping a relationship going very difficult and may doom it ( as in my case ) and there will be clashes over the rearing of children if you have them ( as in my case with my foreign ex-wife when we were married and still after divorce ) and other life issues. Bridging the cultural gap between a foreign woman and a western man is very difficult at the best of times. With FSU women, you are dealing with possibly communist and marxist attitudes ( I had an argument with a FSU women I wrote ot on the internet and she called me a "capitalist pig" and started rattling off Karl Marx and communist beliefs and idioms and the girl was only 25, one of the kids of the Mikhail Gorbachov era when things were changing in the FSU but her beliefs had not and communism was well and truly alive in her ). I just think, you will come up against a lot of strange beliefs ( to us capitalist Western men ), strange behaviours and attitudes ( compared to girls from the West ) which is going to make it really hard to get along with an FSU women and create real problems and well a\nd truly doom most realtionships with these girls. Filipino girls do make good wives and they are faithful to you as long as you don't do the dirty on them...they will stick by you if you treat them well and they are not materialistic and used to living in tight economic conditions and they don't waste money..yes you might find some gold diggers there in the Phillipines if you are not careful but gold digging women exist in all cultures..be wise and sus all girls out and get to know them well before marrying them. The only health culturally different couples I ever met were ones who both their left their native soil to meet and live, together, in a third country unknown to them. Kazak and UK live in India/Sri Lanka, or Aussie and Indian living in Africa, or American and Ethiopian living in Asia. Any other way other than a third neutral country means someone is sacrificing a life style to the other, a sacrifice which inevitably means for a gain of some sort, whether it be sex, money, career, prestige or just simply escape from pressure in his/her home country. Don't get me wrong, there are some people with genuine political/ social pressures that force them to leave. But they are far and few between, and generally they don't go after foreign men/women to solve their problems but go through administartive/political routes to seek safety from repurcussions and gain new passport and identity status. Not many FSU women fit that category anymore (at least not since back in 1992), unless they are from Tchenchenya or Turkmenistan, so all the ones on all these marriage sites must by logic above be wanting some and "willing" to sacrifice their traditional close family and friendship ties to go abroad - a "willingness" which comes with its price, a price which is not necessarily "money" (as so often confused by Western men). aussieman41 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 6/27/2007 6:32:48 AM   The FSU women pays a high price for moving abroad to live with a Western man..she does not see her friends, sees no theatre ( they all like going to theatre often to watch plays, native musicals and opera which is not really done in Western countries as an activity ), misses her family, feels isolated, can't walk around the town window shopping as everything is too far away in Western suburbia and she needs to catch unfamiliar and sometimes non-existent public transport such as buses so she feels all trapped and lonely. They think in the US, Australia, U.K etc. the streets are paved in gold and man brings home a gold brick as a weekly wage but they don't understand that most of the income goes in mortgage, car payments and bills and food and there is precious little left for entertainment and that life in the West is all about giving money to other people and after it is done, you are left with little or none for yourself. The Western lifestyle and suburbia type living with nothing more than your local shopping mall, the FSU women will hate..not many can adapt to this lifestyle and this is why most unions between Western men and FSU girls will be doomed and they will return back home and will not want to be a Western "Desperate Housewife". They have unrealalistic expectations of life in US and think it is like outdated T.V soaps like "Dallas" with J.R spending his millions in life of luxury on acreage with 3 storey mansions and stables full of horses! Ptichka, had a lot of influence on me. She was and still is an outstanding lady. Tanya(Pitchka) got married about a year or so back. She was really missed in this forum. She brought an actual insight to women from Ukraine. No BS straight upfront information about the do's and don'ts of finding a woman from Ukraine. There hasn't been a female in this forum that helped to contribute to the guys here since her. I've always told her, without her I probably wouldn't have succeeded in this journey. She will always have a special place in my memory. The thing is, it wasn't just me, that felt that way about her. When she posted, people listened, because it was reality and fact. She wasn't looking for a man abroad, she married a guy at home. She was just one of the rare people who liked to help others and expected nothing in return. She was a student at the time, and still took the time to answer our personal emails to her. Class like hers is not found often in this forum. It's too bad she's still not around to share her insight. It's worth putting her name in the search engine and you will get the straight shot from a woman from Ukraine. Not the idiotic drivel we read now. My wife was impressed early on my knowledge of the feminine psyche from Ukraine, I told her I had to be honest that I was getting my information from a lady from Ukraine. She told me too bad many other guys from the US didn't follow her advice, they would be miles ahead with the ladies instead of being like a bull in a China shop when they came to Ukraine. Thanks Always Ptichka!! It was your help that made my relationship possible, to be lucky enough to understand the real workings of women from Ukraine. Ptichkas advice to me once was, why would you do anything different with a lady from Ukraine that you wouldn't do in your own country? Your analysis of living in Russia without money carrys no merit. The issue at hand is you, more or less bragging on how much money you drop on the birds.
