I've read about applying for a fiance visa for the UK, seems reasonable stuff, no issues for me, can easily support my future wife and her son and our baby to be. But does anyone know if being pregnant means chances are slim? Does it make any difference if you actually marry in Russia? Whilst I would rather we married in England we may marry sooner than we wanted as her parents are very traditional and don't like the fact their daughter is having a baby out of wedlock. I respect their viewpoint, more so, I know it is hurting my girlfriend, so not good for her health as she is very sensitive about this herself. I'm not marrying her out of necessity but out of love, so if she has a smoother ride with her parents by marrying in 3 months rather than a year due to the baby then I'm fine with this. But how would this look when applying for a UK visa? Thanks in advance. John
Hello and welcome to the forum John,
first of all let me congratulate you and your girlfreind on the impending birth of your child.I don't think your visa application should be too difficult although I'm not sure whether you will need to apply for a fiance visa in the case of being married.I would strongly recommend the use of the IAS (Immigration Advisory Service) as I have personally used them (successfully) regarding an issue I had over a visa for my Ukranian mother-in law. They can offer free and impartial advice and will advise on any pitfalls you might encounter.

reading between the lines and looking at your screen name are you from Liverpool perhaps?......if so there is a local office in the city centre in Tithebarn Street...+44-151-242-0920,best of luck with your application, and please feel free to contact me here or privately should you wish.
Cheers "gladiatorUK" for your congratulations and advice. I'll have a look on this site now. My Auntie has a sister-in-law from Moscow so she is coming to our house tomorrow to hopefully give me more practical advice. Indeed I am from Liverpool, living in London, the office in Liverpool will be better to visit when coming home to see the family.
Thanks again.
