And of course, the weather is nice year-round! Women in the FSU sound serious in their letters and on the phone, but when you get there, it's not the same. So, if any of you have been gone on romantic tours to Peru or Costa Rica, please tell me about your experiences. I'm still trying things out in the USA as well. Just looking at other options. That is why I decided to look closer to the US. Look at Columbia and Venezuela. I just married a lady from Venezuela. Found her on Latincupids. Caracas is a crazy town to visit. Lots of things to do and see. The beaches are great too. There are some beautiful women in all of central and south america. Especially Venezuela and Columbia. The culture is the biggest difference between the FSU and latin america. I have dated many women here and I am just now looking into the Russian/FSU thing. I am a little turned on more by the education level and motivation I see in the FSU girls. Don't get me wrong , I am trying not to generalize and I have met some movers and shakers here in CR, they just seem few and far between. Also, I live at the beach here and there is a different intelect in the bigger cities than in the beach towns. I would not recommend a "tour" here but check out some of the dating websites. I had luck with amigos.com and one in costa rica called mytica.com (the site sucks as far as quality design but I dated a girl from there for over a year and she is top notch). There was also a good write up in a local paper for one called "spanish eyes" so check it out. Be careful here in CR though. Prostituion is legal and I can see how the search for a bride may lead to sex tours as there are many hotels in the city that cater to this and the women are very hot. Good luck! I don't want to start hitting the books seriously until I know I've got her locked up! LOL. I've seen photos of Colombian women and they're very attractive. I know tour groups are always going in and out of Colombia, but the "what if's" still scare me away. Isn't a Caracas a crazy town in terms of crime and political unrest? Peru and especially, Costa Rica seem to be safer choices in terms of foreign travel these days. Please share any other information you have. You want to find a women before you are willing to learn her language. It is much more impressive to speak to a girl in her language when you meet!! I'm willing to learn some words, phrases and questions (before a meeting)...but I won't take a foreign languauge course at the local college and drop $300 only to find out the girl (wherever she is from) isn't truly interested in me. Unfortunately, relationships whether domestic or foreign, start off as a game. You have to figure out what the other person is thinking and feeling. Once you develop trust and chemistry , then things get better. You hope. I've been to Russia and Ukraine, twice each. I had no trouble at all. It felt weird as I walked around Ekaterinburg, Russia and Lugansk, Ukraine by myself, but there were no problems. I probably wouldn't walk around in any central American city unless I was with a woman or a tour group. Maybe an extension course, if you are serious about a girl from latin america. You can try to develop trust, true...but chemistry is either there in beginning or not...it is not something that develops. I take classes in Russian and hope to be able to go to Ukraine and be able to talk to any girl without an interpreter and not have to find a girl that speaks english! I've been there 3 times. Never been to latin america, only to Mexico...Cancun and Puerta Vallarta and Mexico City. A good friend of mine, she is a girl, she is from Colombia, and she laughed at the thought of going there to find a girl. She said she would be worried if I went there alone and known to be american. My spanish is not well enough to get around there easily. It is a very dangerous city specially for a tourist coming from USA and without knowledge of Spanish Language. I was in Venezuela because I had the opportunity to work and live there (Caracas) and yes the girls there are probably the hottest I have ever seen. But I assure you that the average Hot Venezuelan girl does not have lets say a "Family Oriented" Psychology and also this Venezuelan girls perceive the American Guys as too "Good" Guys kinda you have to act like a "Macho" for them to start loving you and another think is that intellectual level is not very high. But if you would still like to look for some Venezuelan Brides start looking in Cities other than Caracas, for example San Cristobal, Merida, etc (Tachira State). In regards the Colombian Girl, let me tell they are Hot, educated, great sense of humor, and very respectfull of others. I met one when was in Caracas and they are like Quens. Now I am in the U.S because I was offered a Job, I am hispanic , I am as well interested in either going to Colombia or to Russia to find a Good Wife. I have long time friend who are Costa Rican and I've visited there at length many times. Outside of San Jose, during the day, you'll be fine. Elsewhere and at night, if you are not escorted, you can get yourself into trouble. The CR women are very nice and most have nice Central American cultural views with a touch of Spanish attitude to boot. They don't consider themselves as aligned with their fellow country neighbors and keep that connection to the old country. They like to keep connections with the old country in order to free-load off the state when they arrive. This has become a problem to such an extent that the Spanish government are putting forward measures to ensure that the tide of immigrants is reduced and finally halted if EU laws allow. They are doing this by way of sending home anyone who does not have legal papers and if they have been here for less than one year they are also sent home. The good folks from Venezuela, Cuba and Columbia are particularily disliked since a lot of the ladies work as hookers and send what they earn home to support their families. Meaning hard cash removed from the economy. A case in point:- one couple, to prove that they had been in Spain for more than a year (some kind of official document is required if you can't produce a passport or visa) She produced a document to say that she had had an abortion last year. He produced a document to prove that he had spen 6 months in prison the year before. They were permitted to stay based on these "official" documents. Dont kid yourself that the Spanish consider their distant cousins in S. America as useful kinsfolk.
