Many single women speak English and they are all looking for a western husband in 40 to 50 year age range. There was once a backlash against the Russians, and also because Russian economy has improved significantly under Putin, many Russian have left for Russia. However, do NOT travel outside of Baku. Population is Shi'a Muslim in Baku, but as to travel to the Caucasus, it becomes Sunni Muslim. Even she and her mother have since moved back to Russia. Baku is a windy city. It's not exactly a tourist city. So, if you don't have a girl to see there, don't bother. I got my visa at the airport.
