Good day everyone. I need advise please. the plan is to go to Ukraine in three weeks from now. Getting a personal invitation I believe takes easily a month I have been told which is not going to work for me. Are there perhaps companies/agents that can help me with a "tour booking" of some sort. I dont want to be tied down to a tour really - would like to do my own thing when I get there. I dont want to spend a arm and a leg or both knackers either.
Do not know of many places that need an invitation now. Maybe you are from the exceptions, check http://www.ukrconsul.org/visa/index.htm

I would think you need of only passport. Most guys go to visit a girl, so they have a guide. Sounds like you are going to visit on your own. Check some sites for info, I use ukrainefare.com, they have a wide range of
services offered, if needed,...a good help for a first timer. Make sure you are near Khreschatik.
You need one if your on a Aussie or Kiwi passport, but not EU, US, Canada and Japen etc. But for the ukraine I'm sure you can do this online and get an invitation via the hotel when you book. You just need to pay for it and print it out and use it to apply for a visa. But its mean you have to stay at the hotel.
Heres one example, but i'm sure most hotels would offer such a service
