I will try to put some things into perspective for those new to agencies as best as I can. There are positive and negative aspects of this entire marriage agency process, and I can strongly agree and disagree with both sides of many arguments. I want to get your input on something regarding the new types of shopping scammers out there.
re: Value versus Risk of marrying a foreign bride
You see, us sincere men now have to be careful of professional online daters. I think of all things a man must watch out for - it should be this most when corresponding and meeting any girl from abroad today. Why do I think it so important?
Can I explain myself? I will try.
These are ladies who write a man, then lie about who they really are, get them to meet, get the man to take them shopping and pay for all their living expenses while they are either dating or even awaiting K1 approval. Other types of these girls may simply have you buy them things, without them having a single intention of marrying you.
If it proceeds past dating and is proceeding to marriage?
Now in a worst case scenario it would not be above an immoral woman to be capable of declaring rape and abuse charges after they are married, so they get all the money from the future divorce settlement. With their green card, they are allowed to do as they chose.
Since IMBRA laws are already in their favor, this is why I think we must have some sort of protection so men do not fall prey to this type of scheme that almost got me. Any other ideas? Anyone have statistics of the failure rates after the 2-year residency time period is over? How does it compare to those that are into the 3 to 10+ year stats?
I know we debated this earlier, but the only way I can see is if a man had more information. Any site that can let a guy know more details more about these FSU / Foreign girls is going to help. An independent site not controlled by the agencies is mandatory I would think.
A girl would have tried doing this to some other guy who caught on and can warn the next guy. Screenshots of actual text or letters from a reputable website should be supplied as a voucher. Or even an online audio recording of the conversation would suffice.
The IMBRA law does not affect me. I have nothing to hide from girl and I have nothing even close to a conviction.
I am divorced with 2 kids....that is all that will show up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would be concerned if I had any skeletons in my closet!!!!!
True, but women have to go through process of reading(???) form and being explained what is on form and
having to sign form that they know what was written on it!!!! Some girls in agency have no idea what that is or why they have to sign it. I wonder if they even care what is on form.
