Gentlemen, I recently joined fiance.com with the goal of finding a FSU wife. I've been 'lurking' the forums for a while reading some of the advice and comments from those of you further along in the process than I am. Right now I've begun corresponding with a few beautiful young ladies (I am in my mid-20s, so I'm looking at the 18-23 range) and would appreciate your thoughts on how to carry out an e-mail dialogue. As I've noticed, Russian women use a different vocabulary than we do, frequently speaking in a very romantic and poetic voice. This type of language makes me want to bare my soul to her in the first e-mail. What's an appropriate pace for e-mail exchanges? Should I e-mail her daily? Several times a week? Once a week?
My "strategy" is to get to know a few ladies well (preferably from the same city), then to travel there next year to meet them after corresponding with them. I feel bad about corresponding with multiple women at once since I do not want to lead anyone on and then drop her, but I expect that if I correspond with 5 women, then travel there to meet them next year, that I realistically might click with only one or two of them. I suppose ladies carry on multiple conversations with us guys, too.
Also, I've seen comments from some of you (might have been wtrav02, forgive me if I am mistaken) that Moscow isn't a great place to go for a romance tour because the women have the Moscow snobbishness about them. Any thoughts on St. Petersburg, Penza, Odessa, or Kiev (there seem to be many beautiful ladies from these cities)?
Generally speaking, the advice is to be "yourself", just like in any other situation.
If women like your company in your own country, they will probably like you also in FSU.
When corresponding, remember that some women have their letters translated, and it might be a big surprise when meeting to see that she cannot say more than 5 or 6 words in English.
Even if it is a beautiful woman, it gets rather boring if you cannot talk and discuss things...trust me.
