Southern ukraine again. By the way, the french have the nose thing going like the germans!!! Used the trains this time, what an experience!!!! If you are a first time train traveller, don't go into Kiev train station, what chaos!!!! I had a ticket and could not figure out where to go and not many friendly people willing to help!!!! I did finally find a guy to help, luckily I knew some russian and understood his directions. 15 tracks and as many trains going back and forth in the middle of night...get on wrong train and no telling WHERE you might end up. Couldn't sleep...guy next to was a snorer, great, when I finally woke in morning..cab was empty and I had no idea where i was at??????? Did I miss my stop??? Luckily train tracks ended in odessa. Good luck in trying to find your ride in a train station. First couple days are relaxation before going to work!! :))))) Anyone ever stop to think what you look like when you are walking around with a young beautiful girl and another girl is walking with you and doing much of the talking. The guy and girl have hands in their pockets about 1-2 feet away from each other!. Bingo!! Saw a few today, gosh I hope I don't look that stupid or should I say obvious. Girls were mid-twenties and guys.....well..overweight, glasses, 100% US look, old looking( I am older but not old looking). To say the least I had a chuckle, it did make me wonder when I am walking with a younger girl that all others see me the same way!!! Who cares anyway!!! Does ukraine need a celebration to drink more???? I guess not, if you have a wine festival where there is free cups of wine served. Wine is priced $1.75-$3.50, it smelled like you were in a vineyard in the countryside!!! If you know me, I was at the booths with the finer looking women. If I only knew more russian!!! Have to say the women walking around were FINE, no ther way to describe it, were out in full force. Practiced my russian on a young girl who made I contact with me. Asked if she wanted to have dinner with me, she asked if her friend can come too. I said sure,then I think(?)she asked what will we talk about....In broken russian,I said I just want to look in your eyes all night. She did laugh, I kissed her cheek and said dasvidania. Wonder what I could could do with the better knowledge. I did make a couple buys in russian. Had couple months of classes and home study but realize I am far from being at ease. More to come as days go by, i'll try not to get too specific...I know others are stopping for a view!!!! When I was in the Kiev station there were a couple of older cleaning ladies there. They kind of adopted me for the time I waited there. Then they flagged another passenger down on the train I was to be on and motioned me to follow him. He got me to my seat. I will try to explain the ticket to you. On the top line is: поезд=Train No=Number шифр=code Отправление=De parture чесло=Day Месяць=Month Часы=Hour Мин=Minute Вагон=Car Nо=Number тип=Type Цена=Price Грн=Hrevna Билет=Ticket плацкарта=Open birth осlб= Number Человек=People Вид=Type Документа=Document There will be values under each of these headings. The next line will state the departing city and the destination city in Cyrillics. On the line following will be МIсця=Your seat Number The next line has some garbage on it I do not know what. The following line has your name last, first, middle the next line will have your cost followed by what adds into it. And if they answer with anything other than Da or Nyet, say: "Da ili nyet..." and then repeat the question. I remember asking things like, "Is this the right way to Arkadia beach?" You'd think that'd prompt either a yes or a no, but I ended up getting answers like, "Well, what you need to do is go two blocks and then cut through the park..." and so I stop them, "I speak Russian poorly. Please, Yes or No, is this the right way to Arkadia?" Biggest problem I had was the track is not listed until maybe 1/2 hour before train departs, so you have to know where to go in a short period of time. I was there looking at the stupid board for almost 2 hours, didn't feel like lugging my large suitcase all over train station, it was bad enough lugging it a couple times up and down escalator to go to restroom. Brilliant.......I have some of your insights on your trips, I think it is interesting to get someones thoughts of what they are experiencing. aussieman41 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 10/9/2007 5:05:06 AM   Look you guys who are frequent flyers to Ukraine and FSU on this forum, why don't you make video stories on your trips there and send them up to you tube or myspace websites and put a link here to it. Then people can see the real FSU and what its like and the girls and there can be no disputes or arguments over the place, seeing and hearing is believing...not written words. The videos should show the unadultered truth...be fact and not a dress up of the FSU. Real life videos including real life triumphs and real life failures would be a real expose on the place and might dispel the myths over the place. It also might save some men a lot of money by ditching plans to go there when they see the truth and reality of it or get men to go! kiwinorth Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 10/9/2007 7:23:40 AM   after a few times you will get the hang of that ticket and trains. yes i could imagine Kiev would be a bugger at night. found a cleaner there who hated Brits, fock it was funny, idiot, i think it made it worse laughing at him. yeah i got the squeaky bunk on one trip, i wondered if my Ukraine companions had sleeping problems to, for i did, make it worse it was my bunk. usually beemer the lady running the coach sorts you out if you only speak english, just make it known to her in any strange way. they were always really great to me. just be careful getting off when you shouldn't. they gave me grillings for this in there motherly type of way. and don't close the toilet door when finished, so it cannot be locked by train system when you are getting close to stations. you'll catch on to that one, always locked when ya need it. nasfan6 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 10/9/2007 8:28:15 AM   Better yet Aussieman, since you continually post here about women from the FSU. Of course different eyes see a different picture, so it is best to get descriptions from various eyes to get the true picture. I don't see what another person there is seeing. There is no way I can describe that 5'9" 120 pound girl walking by me fully for you but to see her with my eyes from head to toe....there are some things you cannot put into words...heard the saying,'seeing is believeing', that probably descibes it best. What you don't understand Aussie, is nothing I can say that can fully describe what I see, maybe one day you will understand me. Sorry i didn't get to check out those million dollar legs!!!!! But those tight black pants did show a very nice figure and a nice f**m booty. To my gladness, she had a great personality, we laughed and talked, made jokes, tried my russian with her, which also made her laugh, but she was touched with my ability to learn russian. Yes, we still needed as interpreter BUT my girl looked at me as she asked me questions as did I also, the interpreter seemed to be in background, which was great. She loved my small gifts, especially the flowers and the very nice smelling perfume. My daughter insisted girl would love scent...she was right on the money. So in girl's eyes, I was sitting pretty good. After dinner we walked the main sreet, trying to figure out what to do. We ended up in a cafe to chat for a while, I really enjoyed the eye to eye contact and her wanting to ask me questions, shows interest. We ended night we a nice kiss.....every cheek I could find. A am a gentleman not a sex tourist, we will meet again, I just like it slow, kind of weed out the scammers. Costs: Gifts- $35 Dinner&Cafe&Taxi- $47 Shopping- $00 Smile of my girl- Priceless My kind of girl!!!!! Do we ever really know girls intentions....maybe never, but for one night, it was perfect. sorry guys, if it had blown apart I would give more deatails on where I am at. In the meantime, I will press on. I guess the best way to judge your feelings for a girl is to compare her to another girl.
