If lucky you're looking at life on retrovirals, and your medical may not want to pay that even, or put you on cheap generic poisons. Epidemic? You may not think so, your prerogative entirely also, but it already is a Pandemic. I'll tell you why - ever been tested? Quite likely the answer is no, ditto for most of you out there, and THAT is one part of the problem. Compounding factors are the still-not-known window period, instantaneous world-travel and the no-signs-until-too-late symptoms of this disease. Add to that varying strains, a growing resistivity to medication due to treated individuals stopping treatment (for TB for instance!) and conclude with me that this is a rather complex, and lethal, problem. But more dangerously, it is the blaming of queers, drugaddicts and bloodtransfusions for spreading it. It's not, it is unprotected sex with a casual partner - and that's why it speads fast, and proves unstoppable. Along international routes it is rampant under that part of the population which trades on this, and prostitution is part of that - but so are those which engage in casual sex for whatever reason.
