I received a reply from a lady not to long ago and she gave me her private email address ending in @mail.ru I then sent her another photo and a letter and it went through no problem. I waited and in the mean time had posted a topic here wondering about the delay in replies. Well it turns out she was on vacation in Istanbul. When she got back she sent me an email thanking me for the photo and asking how I was. So I replied to her email and it was returned to me by the administrator. It said that this email was prohibited. Why? Is this a scam to keep getting me to pay the $8.00 per letter? Why did it go through the first time and not the second time? She is not blocking me mail.ru is. Has anyone out there have this happen to them. Thanks!
Please send me ID of this lady and the response that you got from administrator saying that it was prohibited.Administrator of what site? Mail.ru is a free e-mail service. It was prohibited-was anything said about a reason in this mesage???
On our site if a lady has her own e-mail address and if she gave it to you for direct correspondence-its 100% free. Especially when you are sending her messages directly.Mail.ru dont charge for their services as well.
If you received an e-mail from @mail.ru - we have nothing to do with it. We can only check who send it to you and may be its a trick of some other agency that is trying to get money from you. Please forward me this message and we'll find out whats going on.
The message you got has nothing to do with scam-this is an automated response from the mail.ru mail server. Mail /ru is a free e-mail account and right now they have really strict anti-spam rules. As far as I know they already banned lots of addresses that have nothing to do with spam. You can read about it at http://www.mail.ru/pages/help/262.html ( text in english goes right after Russian text).
I guess you can do nothing with it, since mail ru doesnt acepts messages from the mail server you use. Just e-mail her from the other e-mail address and everything will be just fine.
Mail.ru refuses mail from servers on their blacklist for Spamming.
If you've got a problem inform your ISP and tell them what's wrong, best is to forward them your response. That's all you can do, or change ISP.
AOL, Yahoo nad Hotmail should go through though.
