I was at HotRussianBrides. I actually went on two dates there. I feel so silly. I was there for a few months. I have to say that I thought I was in Paradise, the most beautiful women in the world were writing me. Some of them wrote very raunchy emails. Some were polite. But all were insanely beautiful. I met one lady there. I like her so I won't divulge too much. But she was not serious about dating a foreigner. She just needed cash. I thought maybe I just had bad luck. I talked with various women and then I settled on another lady, who I thought was one of the most beautiful creatures ever. Well, I was doing okay and I was planning my trip. But I decided to search the internet for reviews of the site. I could not find one positive experience. I became frightened that the lady I was talking to was a scammer. I somehow found a guy on the net who helped me. He check a few profiles of the women I had been talking to. He found women who were married, women who were engaged. I was speechless. There were women who had kids, but there was no mention of that in their profile. And then there were women who you knew were never going to marry a foreigner. So many of them were models, singers, and ballerinas. They were traveling the world, yet somehow found time to be on the website almost 24 hours a day.
I went to see my lady against his advice. She was nice and we are still talking. But I would never recommend that site. I can't say if things will work out between us or not. I just know the vast majority of profiles at the site are simply false. There isn't anything there for a man looking for love. I almost forgot. I told my lady I would never talk to her at the site again. So I went to change my information to keep people from finding out about my account there. I changed my first name to me. Every letter that I received from women after that said "me". So the women are not even sending most of the emails. Which is why so much of the time you get responses that have nothing to do with your letter.
I have requested support to delete my entire account just today."
"I have tried all the major agencies. In its own way, HOT RUSSIAN BRIDES 'takes the cake'! This website is among the worst of the worst if that is even possible. I had one woman send me 99 letters! Thats right 99 letters! When I asked her if I could obtain her contact information through the agency, she didn't even know who I was. ALL I repeat ALL of the Russian Marriage and dating agencies are based on falsehood, lies, mendacity and deceit. Don't waste your money on ANY so called Ruusian Marriage agency and website. You will only get hurt feelings and an empty wallet."
"I've been a member of Hot Russian Brides for around 5 months. I've been rather fortunate to come across what seems to be a very genuine woman who has alerted me to a few scams that go on on the Hot Russian Brides website. There were times I thought i was "chatting" to a girl, but it was just a translator, they were just chewing up my credits for a % of my money, when I got an email through to the girl I thought I was talking to, she had no idea of the conversation we were supposed to have had. She has told me of plenty of scammers on the site, many married women just earning money chewing up your credits chatting to you. Whilst the site publicly denies any money being earnt by the ladies doing this (of course) it is common practice so be very aware.
On the upside, she tells me of all the genuine women that she knows from her local branch of Hot Russian Brides, they go to the agency to "Live video chat" to men (at least you can see who you're speaking to)and catch up to share their experiences, they too get plenty of dirty disgusting men sending them all sorts of requests.
These "genuine" girls dislike the scammers immensly as they give them all a bad name and whilst it does not cost the girls money on an ongoing basis, they still have to pay quite a lot (for them) to have the agency do photos and profiles. The agency also threatens to cancel their profiles if they do not have the camera on (more credits) during chat time and they must be available for "chat" for a certain period of time each week. All obviously set up by the site to make as much money as possibly from each person on there. Even when the girls leave (or are asked to leave) their profiles are left up to be used by the interpreters to make money out of you.
Having said that, I'm happy with the girl I've been communicating with, I have her home address and personal email (at great expense through the site) we spoken and I'm going there in April 2012 to meet her.
There are a lot of good people on the site, just be very wary.
Good luck if you give it a try."
"I have been onsite for a year or so. There is no doubt that many if not most of the women on the site are real, sincere and honestly seeking a way out of their home country for any number of reasons. And I cannot blame them for wanting such a move. But the unethical practices of the site and it's associate agencies far outweigh any benefit which might be derived from using the agencies or the site.
Hot Russian Brides is one sight to avoid. In my time there I have made friends with three very honest and sincere young women. They are indeed friends and I have no romantic interest at stake here. But all three left the agency they were with and the site voluntarily. I knew they had left because we had personal email addresses and they informed me privately that any letters I received, or any chat I had without the video, would not be them. They explained that the site pays women to ghostwrite letters to unsuspecting men from attractive women in order to get the dollars the men spend on answering. The same with chat, as long as you don't see the woman, you don't know who it is.
"A note to think about; when these women left Hot Russian Brides, I knew the date each left. I continued to get letters from them for days and in one case for quite a bit longer. In each case I emailed my friends and they assured me they had not written any letters to me except through the private email services we used. There are also the usual hustlers who want gifts, hint that they need money, etc. Don't fall for any of it.
There is no techical help, there is no administrative assistance, particularly for a problem that only makes them money. Fellows, be on Hot Russian Brides at your own risk. Some of these women are very, very adept at taking your money and with the blessings of the site, and many of them likely don't even exist. It could end up costing you and the results may be highly unsatisfactory.
I wonder how many more websites there are today, compared to when I was still writing? I had found one girl to be on 47 websites,,, yet I doubt whether she wrote a single letter.
