I had joined the email forward site to see if legit. Well I wrote three women and reviewed about 10, with one responding with some intellegence. I droped the site due to all the negative feedback I've been reading, yet I am concerned this girl may be a real person. So I am wondering how effective the newspaper system is, as I would not want to abandon a real person. Whould a paper ad be effective?
Sorry for the lack of description with my first post. I had also tried the Anastasia site and seemed to have a reasonable exchange with one women. But I have also read many negative scam articles also. Original expectations were just to try it out and as long as I didn't get carried away it is relatively cheap entertainment or experiment. So my only concern is if there is a potential that this one women is real, I don't want to leave her hanging.
call her on the phone.
send her flowers using www.russianservice.com and ask to make photo at the moment of delivery. compare if photos are the same tha is posted on the site. send express mail to her address. she will have to sign it at the post office.
You wont be able to call her because Anastasia does not allow the exchange of telephone numbers or private email address. This is thier way of steering you to use their phone introduction service. They say they allow the exchange of personal information on the phone intoduction. If you decide to do that then what will probably happen is the girl whom you talk to will say she needs to get to know you better before she will give you this information. This will result in another call and continued correspondence and thus more money for Anastasia. The only thing you can get from this girls letters is her personal address. If you get that then do as Olegnay stated in the thread. Verify this girl lives at this address. Sorry to burst your bubble but I had four girls that I was sure were real and I verified they were all a scam. Also, go to Stop-scammers.com to see more about Anastasia. This girl you mentioned could still be real. I think these scam agencies need to have a few real ones in the bunch to keep the machine running. Good luck.
Thank you for the input, deanis that was what I was looking for. I forwarded a question to the site admin for clarification without being to negative of the site, people tend to give a little when you don't slag them. So they would like her ID# my ID# and the letters to sort this out. What I asked them was that she doesn't seem to answer direct questions but also states she doesn't know english very well. So I asked them why their translation system is not working and for them to supply some proof of existence. Let's see what happens. Next move for me is to just go on a holiday to meet people there after I take language classes.
Again thank-you
Jason
one remark. Anastasiaweb by itself not a scam agency. unfortunately they have scam agencies working in their web system. Anastasia fine them, and disconnect them from the service, when scams are reported. They also credit you back. BUT, the system itself is encouraging scams. I am sure. Anastasia is still one of the best providers to take group tours to Russia, Ukraine... what kind of crap is it to pay $8 per letter forwarding and not be able to send your mail address and contacts... anyway more and more girls in former USSR have their own email right now. pay one membership and correspond freely, as on any normal dating site. but be careful of scams. what we can do is to try to verify every girl who registers, and react fast on the scam reports.
I disagree with Oleg on some of this. True Anastasiaweb will credit your account but it will not give you a refund. What good is credit with a system full of scam agencies. Regarding their tours, again full of scams! I know of a few gentleman who traveled to Ukraine expecting to meet a model quality girl they had been sharing letters with using Anastasia. Funny once the trip was booked and paid for the girls stopped writing or when the guy arrives the girl refuses to meet him! "Thats OK" Anastasia says! We have many girls we can introduce to you while you are there. Yeah, but not the girls these guys paid thousands of dollars to meet. Anastasia and its sister companies are a full blown scam. Jason, get your girls personal address and verify her existance using another company. Do not waste any more of your money on Anastasia! Good luck!
I was just testing the site maybe 100.oo loss but it was still entertaining and with all your help come to the same conclusion, this is not the way to any ones heart. My only concern was for her if she was indeed real, I don't need to look on the other side of the world to piss a girl off, to bad for a screwed up dating format seems the world is trading emotions for cash.
It's a good thing " THE STRONGEST FORCE KNOWN TO MAN IS WOMEN" makes it pretty hard not to keep a positive attitude, all it takes is a smile or a look from a nice girl and the basic instincts take over.
Thanks again for the input.
